Know someone who might like wargaming but is on the fence? This is the Kickstarter for getting them in the pool.
Warrioooooooors, come out and plaaaaaaaaaaaaay.
Cardstock warriors is a great little Kickstarter from Michael Upchurch which at first glance is geared for family play time. This is the proverbial hook for getting everyone else in your family into your table wargamming obsession.
I’m not going to lie, these guys are cute, like if Nintendo made Warhammer this is what those models would look like. Is that hit against this game? Not at all, I actualy love me some Nintendo and I’m willing to bet that you do to because really, who wouldn’t want a Link model on their Fantasy(AoS/) or Kings of War table?
Granted, you probably can’t show up to your local gaming store and get a pick up game with your friends, nor would I recommend it, but for getting a big army up and battling with your friends while drowning yourself in alchol, or playing with your kids, while not giving a F*@# about breaking models you spent hours painting.
Even better, you can make this an afternoon project with your kids.
Regardless, I think this is a great idea, and would be fun for at least several afternoons with your kids for not much in the time and money investment window, you’ll spend more taking your kids to the movies.
