Is Games Workshop stepping up their Fantasy game with new Formations for 9th?
According to the header pic, they seem to function like formations from 40k with for instance ‘Race’ instead of ‘Faction’.
No idea what they are designed to go with expansion wise (or new rules wise) or what book they are from. They may be something from the rumored 9th Edition or perhaps something desinged to bridge the gap from 8th to 9th?

I make only a brief summary:The Battlescroll as they call, are equal in operating formations 40k. Add units in the same army and that sharing the same training earn some advantages and special rules basically. In these formations will indicate the units to add them, if you have additional options and possible restrictions as training. Clear this special formation rules are only for the units that make such training. Normal.But also an interesting point is that the formations can or at least leave open unite different races or armies within them. So we could have mixed formations of different races. See what happens with this item.
The cost of training can be free or you may have to pay some points to use. That’s as far in 40k.
