By Rob Baer | March 14th, 2013 | Categories: Star Wars, X-Wing 2.0

Checkout this sweet fan made six week X-wing league, that you can use with your X-wing games as well!

We’re playing this league at FTW Games (the home of Spikey Bits) and will post up a new mission every week for you to play as well!

Many Bothans died to bring you this unique league format by Toby Spaulding (and Lauren Bacon), that is sure to keep all the space battle quotes you know and love flying around the room.

Players bring 100-point squadrons and compete through a six missions that will be presented each week, and culminates with a special mission on Kessel week six.

Mission one can be found here. May the Force Be With You!

And if you into competitive X-wing play, FTW Games just landed one of the East Coast Regional Championships. It will be held on April 13th, and you can get all the details here.

Be sure to sign up NOW, to avoid the crunch of regional championship attendees!

Recently we did a review / tactics articles on the Millennium Falcon, and Slave 1 which you can checkout for some great ideas on how to work these legendary ships into your fleet.

And if you’re not quite convinced about the game yet, checkout our introduction video below! Happy Starfighting! -MBG

About Rob Baer: Founder, Publisher, & Managing Editor of Spikey Bits, the leading tabletop gaming news website focused on the hobby side of wargaming and miniatures.  Rob has won many Warhammer 40k Tournaments over the years, including the Adepticon Team Tournament and American Team Tournaments, and is on a first-name basis with almost every major company in the space.

He’s all gaming all the time. With over 30 years of experience in retail and distribution, Rob knows all the products and exactly which ones are the best. He advocates for gaming stores and manufacturers in these difficult times, always looking for the next big thing to feature for the miniatures hobby, helping everyone to provide the value consumers want.

While he’s played every edition of Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy (since 5th Edition) and has been hobbying on miniatures since the 1908s, Titans of all sizes will always be his favorite! It’s even rumored that his hobby vault rivals the Solemnance Galleries, containing rulebooks filled with lore from editions long past, ancient packs of black-bordered Magic Cards, and models made of both pewter and resin.
