The latest Resistance Heavy Bomber has just been seen breaking through the First Orders defenses in this Wave 13 reveal for Star Wars X-Wing!
The B/ SF-17 Heavy Bomber is a beast of a ship. Featuring 2 attack, 1 agility, 3 shields and a massive 9 hull. This ship has a turret primary weapon, 2 bomb slots, and tech and systems options. This ship can go all in on the bomber role as its new upgrades will show.
The Ordnance Silos upgrade assigns 3 ordnance tokens to each other equipped bomb upgrade card. This ensures that you will have plenty of opportunities to bomb your opponent. This next upgrade gets crazy with your new slew of bombs. 
The Trajectory Simulator upgrade makes it so that you may launch bombs using the 5 straight template instead of dropping them. This will allow you to be able to “fire” bombs out of your front arc using the 5 straight. There is a restriction, as bombs with the action header cannot be dropped. This means no Proximity Bomb shenanigans. 
If you want to go more on the defensive, Reinforced Deflectors is a great upgrade for the B/ SF-17. After you suffer 3 or more damage from an attack, recover 1 shield. Since the B /SF-17 has 1 agility, it needs all the help it can get for its defenses.
