The most fearsome TIE Interceptor squad in the galaxy is flying in formation to cut down the Rebels and earn their stripes! Will the Rebels escape?
Saber Squadron is cutting through the Rebel fleet and taking names along the way. Turr Phennir will be leading the squad today as they try and earn their Saber stripes. Turr is a slippery target, being able to perform a barrel roll or boost after performing an attack, even if he is stressed. This can allow him to fire on his target and maneuver out of position to dodge return fire. Initiative 4 will allow him to fire before most targets, but even Rebel Aces can close in on him.
Turr Phennir is a Daredevil, and it shows in his maneuver options. Daredevil is a talent upgrade that allows him to treat the normal boost template as a red 1 turn instead. Boosting with the 1 turn can get you into some serious arc dodging, especially since he can still boost or barrel roll after he attacks.
Two Saber Squadron Aces will accompany Turr on his mission. These initiative 4 TIE Interceptor pilots are skilled enough to take on any foe. Their Autothrusters allow them to perform a barrel roll or boost after performing an action, giving them the chance to arc dodge just like their squad leader.
With great speed comes great power. Afterburners crank up the TIE Interceptor’s speed all the way up to 11. After you fully execute a speed 3-5 maneuver, you may spend 1 charge to perform a boost action, even if you are stressed. Taking your speed up to such high levels can have your Saber Squadron Aces flying circles around those Rebels.
To make sure they get the drop on those Rebel pilots, Stealth Devices have been equipped to our Saber Squadron Aces. While defending, if your charge is active, you roll 1 additional defense die, but suffering damage causes you to lose your charge. Keep your TIE Interceptors in arc dodging mode, and they will earn their stripes in no time!
