Aw Snap Fantasy Flight is throwing more scrapes to the hungry hype dogs and this time it’s on the Headhunter, a ship I’m very much looking forward too.
First thing shown here is the movement dial. If my memory serves me, they never showed this before, so that’s cool.
Not too fast, not too slow, semi-maneuverable. if you’re a X-Wing user it shouldn’t bother you.
New ship wise we have another no named, the Tala Squadron pilot. Level 4 for 13 points. Awesome. 1 point more for a better skill. I can dig it.
Lieutenant BLount is next and his ability is dirty. Even when you miss, you hit. No damage dealt sure, but effects kick in.
Assault Missiles and Stealth Generator are a few examples FF throw in. Coupled with a new modification we could have some nasty tricks on our hands, but we’ll get to that in a second.
Next we have Airen Cracken, a level 8 for 19 points and is a formation/support pilot. At range one after an attack he’ll allow a friendly to perform a free action.
Nice. And again, 19 points. Very nice. I got a few ideas for this guy, we’ll see how they’ll play out when its released. Most involve Wedge…I like Wedge. Shh.
Finally we have the upgrades. The Elite pilot skill, Wingman, is great. Removing a stress from an ally at range one at the start of combat is pretty useful. Think about the silly maneuvers you can pull off with that thing in a big formation.
Hell, it be funny to give it to Porkins and have someone follow him around for some silliness.
Then we have the Munitions Failsafe. And finally, something to fall back on if your missile shots wiff out. Letting you keep the missiles/torpedos if you miss make up for spending the price. And remember that particular nasty move I mentioned awhile back on Blount? Take those Assault Missiles and the Failsafe. And with some ‘bad’ rolling just bomb everyone over and over. Should be hilariously fun if it works.
All in all looking more and more forward to the Headhunter’s release, especially for my list idea. Just need these and that GR-75 to come out, heh. Thanks for reading and have yourself a great day.
