Corran Horn returns to battle in Star Wars X-Wing, and he is gunning for as many shots as he can fit in one round of battle!
The infamous E-Wing pilot, Corran Horn is here again one last time to show these Rebel Aces how to fly. His pilot ability allows him to fire twice in 1 turn; firing in the Combat phase and once again in the End phase. The tradeoff is that he will be unable to attack during the next round. This ability can wreck any Empire ship that gets in his cross hairs.
Let’s keep the pressure on with even more shots from Corran Horn. Snap Shot is a nice Elite upgrade to equip that allows him to perform an attack of 2 dice at range 1. His PS of 8 will allow him to wait out most activations, and once they get too close, Corran can pull off a Snap Shot!
Corran may need help repositioning, or turning around in which a turn he has double tapped and is unable to attack. Flight Assist Astromech can help him out by allowing him to acquire a target lock after he performs a red maneuver. Corran make make good use of his target lock since he will be attacking more than once in any given round.
A nifty little system upgrade that can be great for Corran is Targeting Scrambler. At the start of the Planning phase, you may receive a weapons disabled token to choose a ship at range 1-2 and assign it the “Scrambled” Condition. This can work out just fine for Corran after he has used his double shot ability. Since he won;t be able to attack anyways, a weapons disabled token should not bother him at all.
What “Scrambled” does is add more defense to Corran in a round that he cannot attack.When attacking a ship at range 1 that is equipped with the Targeting Scrambler upgrade, you cannot modify your attack dice. The enemy ship targeting Corran will have a tough time locking him down!
