Looks like we have confirmation of sorts in the German White Dwarf on the new Blood Angels Starter set.

Shield of Baal: Leviathan looks to be on the horizon in the near future (Possibly for a Black Friday “Must Have” release).

While it wasn’t printed in the English version, we’re hearing the other printings may have confirmed the coming release of a new Blood Angels/ Tyranids Starter.

If you remember back earlier in the week our very own FTGT Evan posted  that these rumors seemed to line up with the previous Leviathan Dataslates for Tyranids that released with in 7th.

What do you think? Blood Angels soon, or no way? -MBG

I don’t know if any other german WD readers noticed:

on page 20 of the current WD, where they talk about the various ways to benefit from the Toxicrene, some note is written in the bottom left corner (I’ll translate):

“Shield of Baal: Leviathan ist ausschließlic in englischer Sprache erhältlich, aber damit du sofort mit dem Spielen loslegen kannst, haben wir hier die Regeln auf Deutsch abgedruckt.”

Shield of Baal: Leviathan is exclusively available in English, but for the purpose of playing immediatly we printed the rules in German here for you.”

So I think we got a name…

And that got me thinking about some Blood Angels vs Tyranids fluff that SpikeyBits brought us up to speed on:

Regarding the three “Hivefleet Leviathan dataslates:

“Tyranid Invasion, the second dataslate, shows Corbulo leading a detachment of Blood Angels to support the defense of Satys. The remaining Aurora Marines fall to the Leviathan forces, but Corbulo and his Blood Angels hold on.

Finally, in the third dataslate, Tyranid Onslaught, Corbulo marshals the defense as evacuation is attempted. Just when they think they are cut off and Corbulo is about to be struck down by a Hive Tyrant, Blood Angels Terminators teleport onto the surface and blast a gap in the encircling defenders, allowing them to escape. Satys is consumed, but survivors escape.

With the Satys campaign setting the stage for this potential new campaign box, it can also build on the recent Space Hulk release and take the story a few different ways. The campaign could focus on the story that already unfolded, a return stroke from the Blood Angels to avenge Satys, or finally a follow up campaign of the Blood Angels leading the defense of the next planet on the Leviathan tendril’s path.”
