Steve Jackson Games has announced at GenCon that their Munchkins will be entering the collectible card game scene in 2018!
Reported by ICv2, the Munchkin Collectible Card Game is highly anticipated and will launch in February 2018. Three two-deck starter sets and booster packs will start off the launch with more to follow. The booster packs will contain 12 random cards and at least one card will be a rare. Players will be able to build unique decks and use them to battle opponents,
Each booster pack will retail for $3.95. Two booster packs will be released in 2018 with the Desolation of Blargh in May and Fashion Furious in August.
Each booster will bring over 100 new cards to the game.
The Starter Sets are themed: Wizard/Bard, Ranger/Warrior, and Cleric/Thief. Each set will contain two different Hero Decks, two level counters, forty tokens, one die, two Run Away markers, and Booster Pack.
The Starter Set will retail for $24.95. The Munchkin Collectible Card Game is designed for 2-4 players and an average game will take around 60 minutes. Steve Jackson Games will be supporting the launch with an organized play kit for FLGS to host drafting events.
