Knight Models has just dropped a major announcement bomb: Harry Potter Miniatures Game will be launching this fall and a preview of Voldemort!
Since last year, we have reported that Knight Models was working with Warner Bros. to produce Harry Potter miniatures. We have seen some teasers and painted minis at this year’s Adepticon. Now, Knight Models has finally announced that the Harry Potter Miniatures Game will be launching this fall. The have also previewed the new Voldemort model that will definitely be a central piece in your Harry Potter Miniature Game collection.
The Dark Lord:
Tom Marvolo Riddle, also known as Lord Voldemort, one of the most powerful dark wizards of latest history, is on a hunt for Harry Potter, the Boy who Lived! Will you join his band of dark arts masters, the Death Eaters, or will you stand against him to free the Wizarding World of his iron hand ruling?
Also released was a preview as to how you will be able to jump in and get started with the Harry Potter Miniatures game.
The Wizarding World is a place of wonder of magic, where fantasy becomes reality. Here, amidst the towering spires of Hogwarts Castle, in the vaults of the Goblin-run Gringott’s Bank, or lurking in the shadows of Knockturn Alley, witches, wizards and fantastic beasts work their charms, invisible to the Muggle world beyond. Wonders indeed are to be found here, but great danger, too. For although the Ministry of Magic strives to keep the world safe, it is clear that the Dark Lord Voldemort has returned, and he poses the greatest threat the world has ever known…
The Harry Potter Miniature Game is a tabletop game for two or more players, each taking control of a group of finely detailed miniatures, representing their faction, or group, of witches and wizards. The miniatures are, in essence, playing pieces, which you can assemble and paint – a hobby in itself! In the game, players must outmanoeuvre their opponents, make clever use of potions and enchanted items, and, of course, unleash a dizzying array of spells in order to achieve their goals and win the day!
Factions? Groups? We cannot wait to see who and what will be playable. The quality of the models will not be a question as we have seen great quality sculpts with Knight Models’ other game lines.
