Rebels Refit: Corellian Campaign Armada Tactics

By Barclay Montgomery | September 6th, 2017 | Categories: Star Wars Armada, Star Wars Tactics

The Rebel Alliance fleet is back from their recent defense of the Saberhing Asteroid Belt. Now to refit the fleet and assault the Imperials!

The defense at Saberhing was a massive success! The Imperial ships were repelled thanks to the brilliant planning of Admiral Ackbar. Attacking at long range with full salvos from our Assault Cruiser and Scout Frigates proved too much for their defenses.

An Imperial Interdictor was destroyed and an Imperial Class Star  Destroyer was heavily damaged in the battle. One of our own Scout Frigates suffered heavy damage but was able to make it back to our Repair Yards for refit. Admiral Ackbar has dubbed his Assault Cruiser Home One in honor of this valiant defense.

Home One will inspire our other ships within our fleet to strike true with their turbolasers. While another friendly ship is attacking within range 1-5 of Home One, it may change 1 dies to an accuracy. This will ensure that no Imperial ship is safe whenever it encounters our guns.

The Scout Frigates have become deadly accurate with their Turbolaser Reroute Circuits and will need new weapons teams to help them in their targeting. Gunnery Teams have been recruited for these noble little ships.

Gunnery Teams will enable our Scout Frigates to fire their full salvos at multiple target within their sights. Gunnery Teams allows the Scout Frigates to attack from our broadsides against 2 different enemy ships. Our lang range firepower will crush the Imperial ships!

The lone Nebulon-B in our fleet made great contribution in this battle, putting massive damage onto an Interdictor and an ISD. For it’s heroic efforts in the defense at Saberhing, it has been dubbed Salvation.

Since the Nebulon-B favors a frontal assault, the Salvation title will make its forward batteries more effective. While attacking a ship from its forward firing arc, critical huts count as 2 damage instead of 1. With Turbolaser Reroute Circuits giving us either a free crit or double hit at the cost of an Evade, Salvation will soon have veteran stripes.

The increased presence of enemy fighters in this sector has prompted the Rebel Alliance fleet to recruit more YT-2400 squadrons. These general purpose fighters can fends off any Imperial squadrons and provide support coverage for our capital ships. Our fleet is refit and reinforced. It’s time for the Rebels to declare an assault, and the next target is Xyquine II. This target is where we have tracked the crippled Imperial fleet to, and have found it to be an Imperial Repair Yard. Denying them the resources to repair their ships may turn the tide in the Corellian Campaign!
