Hatredy: New Destroyer Build For Armada

The Imperial Star Destroyer is known for the devastation it can deliver to an enemy fleet, but this build seeks to take it even further!

The ISD-I can be a close range combat beast if you build it right, and this build is super aggressive. With 3 reds, 2 blues, and 3 blacks in its front arc, this ship can provide damage at long and medium ranges, but clearly favors close ranage. Let’s start this build with a title.

Relentless is an amazing title upgrade for only 3 points. This title let’s you only assign 2 command dials to your ISD. This can make your command dials that much more responsive to the game-state, whatever you may face. This can be included in a combo with an officer.

Skilled First Officer is a 1 point upgrade that allows you to discard your top command dial right before you reveal a command. This can help you get a navigate on demand or engineering when you need to get some shields up after facing heavy combat. The interesting thing about this ability is that you can then reset 2 dials at the end of the round to be even more prepared for the next round.

The ISD-I has no blue dice in its side arcs, but that can be fixed with High Capacity Ion Turbines. This is a great way to ensure that you have a higher chance for an accuracy to target critical defense tokens that can cripple enemy ships. To take this even further, add a turbolaser upgrade.

H9 Turbolasers is a great upgrade for its utility ability. For 8 points, you gain the ability to change 1 die face with a hit or crit icon to a face with an accuracy icon. This is a fantastic ability to guarantee that you get at least 1 accuracy in whichever firing arc you choose to target your enemy. Since this build will not favor Gunnery Teams, double arcing ships will be your mission.

Since black dice pack the most punch, Ordnance Experts is a great upgrade for the ISD-I. Getting to reroll black dice makes sure that you get the most damage you can at close range, which can be limited if your opponent is a savvy navigator.

This super aggressive ISD build is a beast in close range combat. Will you be charging into battle with this build?
