Fans of the Heresy have been waiting for this day. Come check out the full trailer for the unofficial fan made Horus Heresy 30k short: Death of Hope.
It has been a long time since we have had a film set in the Warhammer universe. Having flashbacks of the Official Ultramarines movie yet? Yeah, us too and we regret mentioning it. This new project, “Death of Hope”, is being made by Project Tetrach and is set during the dark days of the Horus Heresy. It is being made with zero budget and is promised to be “100% Grimdark”.
On November 1st Project Tetrarch made the announcement of that it was going to be a bloody Christmas, and they definitely lived up to that with the new trailer. Let’s take a look.
Since the battle at Calth, the Sons of Angron and Lorgar launched a bloody crusade through the eastern galaxy, carving their way through the 500 worlds of Ultramar
So Continues the Death of Hope
The new trailer just took the hype train to the next level, and we can’t wait to see more. But for now, let’s take a look at what we did see.
The World Eaters, and Bearers have shown up full force in Death of Hope, and they even brought some Gal Vorbak with them. But will that be enough to with this fight against the Ultramarines?
Death is prevalent throughout the trailer, civilians and soldiers both slain in the streets, no one is safe in the very grimdark movie.
Who needs two arms? This was an epic display of dedication to the fight. Charging in with the look of pure Chaos, losing an arm, getting shot three more times, and it barely slows him down. The Ultramarines might want to bring as much reinforcements as they can.
But not all World Eaters fell to Chaos… Earlier in the trailer the World Eaters soldier above can be heard saying “They were my brothers, but no longer.” and then he’s pictured standing back to back with an Ultramarine, surrounded and outnumbered. But will they make it?
We still don’t have a release date for the new movie, but this trailer will definitely hold us over in the meantime. You can head over to the Death of Hope Facebook page for even more pictures, and while you’re there drop them a comment showing your support.
