Scanner is at it again, and this time we’re getting a look at the new points and Artefacts pages from the upcoming Chaos Daemons codex. Let’s take a look.
The new points page should give you a place to start building those lists in preparation of the upcoming release. But that’s not all, let’s take a look at the new Artefacts.
A’rgath, The King of Blades is for Khorne models with a blade of blood or hellforged sword. It will replace the bearer’s blade of blood or hellforged sword with A’rgath which is Strength +1, AP -4, does D3 damage, and you get to re-roll all failed wound rolls for this weapon when targeting a Character. If you equip A’rgath on a monster the Damage characteristic is increased to 3.
Tzeentch is also getting some love with the Soul Bane. This can be taken by a Tzeentch Herald, and it will replace the bearer’s ritual dagger. The Strength is User, it has a -5 AP, does 1 damage, but the big thing about it is Invulnerable saves cannot be taken against this weapon. Get in, hit your opponent’s mini, and watch them eat it.
Nurgle models with a plaguesword, balesword, bileblade, or hellforged sword will be getting access to Corruption. This will replace the model’s plaguesword, balesword, bileblade, or hellforged sword, and has Strength +2, AP -3, does D3 damage, and you get to re-roll all failed wound rolls made for this weapon.
The Soulstealer is going to be a great option for Slaanesh players. It replaces a Slaanesh model’s witstealer or hellforged sword and is Strength +1, Ap -3, does 3 Damage, and each time a model is slain by this weapon the bearer regains 1 lost wound. You’ll also be able to re-roll failed wound rolls for this weapon when targeting an Aeldari unit.
All the armies in the Chaos Daemons codex are going to be getting some good Artefacts to choose from, so make sure you take a look at them all and figure out what would work best for you.
