Curious on what those sprues would be looking inside of the new Shadowspear Box Set? Well, look no further! It’s time to break the latest pics down!

Warhammer Community gave us a little heads up and previewed a couple of the sprues that would be found inside Shadowspear. What makes this Box Set so appealing is that it’s full of all-new models! Primaris and Chaos are both getting much-needed unit support.

Picking Out the Sprues

Keeping up with the Dark Imperium style of things, all of the units look to be coming with only one weapon option. You’ll probably be using everything on the sprues and not have any spare bits left over.

With that said, most hobbyists seem to already assume that we’ll see these units boxed individually as multipart kits and on the shelves later on in the future.

On the first sprue, it looks like Suppressors and Eliminators will be pieced out. As for the second, the Greater Possessed and Chaos Marines. Last but not least, the third has a Venomcrawler and Obliterators. The Venomcrawler looks to spill over onto the second sprue some as well.

All of the characters in the Box Set look to be on their own individual sprues. It looks like it would be easy for GW to pack these guys into clamshells and hang them on the shelves later in the year now!

The Shadowspear Venomcrawler pincers above, are noticeably different from the legs in this rumor engine post:

Absent was also this bit, which appears to go to the back of the Venomcrawler.

Both of these previews may further support speculation of a future multi-part kit release for most of the units in this box, if they do indeed belown to a Venomcrawler.

Mini Codexes Inside

Each faction is getting a mini codex. Despite being extremely small compared to the other codexes armies get, it’ll still have lore, stat sheets, Psychic powers, and Warlord Traits. (It looks like the Warhammer Community team intentionally blurred the details on the page here).

Shadowspear Campaign Booklet

This book will let you start playing fluffy missions with the models you’ve just put together! Explore the horrors of Nemendghast and forge your narrative.

you’ll find no fewer than 6 narrative-focused Crucible of War missions, plus some suggestions for cooking up your own.

With the units looking to only get one weapon option on the sprue, it’s got us wondering…Will the stat sheets show different weapon options?

Will more detailed kits drop later in the future? Let us know in the comments of ourFacebook Hobby Group.
