RUMORS: New AoS Ogor & Tomb Kings Release Details

Everyone’s favorite man-eating brutes are the center of some more rumors today. Check out what could be coming next for the fatties and “Tomb Kings”!

We know that Ogors are definitely getting support soon. We’ve seen the Feast of Bones preview showcasing a new Tyrant character model. But with that, what else could be on the way? Check out the latest rumors after getting caught up with what was first previewed!

Feast of Bones:

Warhammer community took the covers off a new Ogor Tyrant model at their recent event, and he looks stunning.

This is the first Ogor designed with the Mortal Realms in mind, combining classic aesthetic touches like a tusked gutplate and grisly trophies with some neat touches from the Age of Sigmar.

Look closely, and you’ll see vials of potions, some kind of magical sword and even the faceplate of an unfortunate Stormcast Eternal adorning this model, giving it the feel of a wandering, barbaric warrior-king.

Remember the Ogors, well the Ogre Kingdoms rather, first debuted back in January of 2004! So the majority of the range is in “Warhammer High School” currently.

The range was re-booted in 2011 to include the mounted calvary models we now know as Beastclaw Raiders.

As it stands, the Beastclaw Raiders are their own faction with astronomically high-points cost and an extremely low-model count. What’s next for these “fatties” is anyone’s guess. But a combined faction book similar to Beast of Chaos, and the two above would probably be a welcome addition to AoS! Now let’s check out the latest batch of rumors!

The Latest Word on Ogors & Beastclaw Raiders

Before we jump in, these rumors were spotted online from an unconfirmed source. It should go without saying but TAKE THESE RUMORS WITH A PINCH OF SALT. We won’t know if it’s 100% true unless it comes from the mouth of GW.

According to the rumors:

  • All resin models are being removed
  • Tyrants (as seen above) and Butchers are getting replacement models
  • Ogors will be united with the Beastclaw Raiders under one book
  • Terrain piece will be a huge pile of meat with a cauldron in the centerrumor engine 7-9-18
  • Supposedly, these heads are a part of the terrain piece for the Ogors
  • Ogors are also getting three Endless Spells which are: A floating piece of meat, A giant mouth, and an Everwinter manifestation.
  • They should be releasing in October alongside a new Death faction (which we have covered in extreme detail).

Rumors on this “New” Death Faction

There was a word from other sources on the web giving some insight on the new Death faction as well:

  • They will NOT be Tomb Kings OR Deathrattle but use Skeleton archers/horsemen (so like a Tomb Kings 2.0 AoS style)
  • They will have Ogor Skeleton units. The Feast of Bones is a lore-take on a pact Ogors have with Death. (They give their dead Ogors to them for peace).

Again, these are just rumors but everything mentioned sounds totally viable. Especially the link with this new Death faction and the Ogors’ Feast of Bones preview.

What do you think could be coming to AoS in the days ahead? Would you get into an all-new Death faction with brand new models? How will Ogors and Beastclaw Raiders work on the table as one faction?
