It ‘s happening! Don’t miss all the new releases that Games Workshop just confirmed are on the way for Ossiarch Bonereapers starting next week!
Warhammer Community just let us in on the release lineup that goes up on preorder November 2nd. Ossiarch Bonereapers are the main release this week. in general. So if you like Death in AoS this is a great week for you!
Katakros
First up, you’ll need someone to lead your army – and we can think of no-one better than Orpheon Katakros himself. A military genius, consummate commander, and immortal demigod of war, he coordinates and bolsters the Ossiarch legions even as his trusted retainers relay information to him and distribute their master’s edicts.
Katakros is the leader of the faction so expect to see some very powerful effects such as auras or buffs for allies around him.
The Mortisans
Looking for some magical support or just a neat new painting project? Grab a Mortisan – part artisan, part war wizard, these characters are a core part of any Ossiarch Bonereapers army.
The Mortisan Soulreaper blasts enemies apart with fell magics, the Mortisan Boneshaper repairs nearby warriors, and the Mortisan Soulmason hands out some handy bonuses to hit for your army.
These three variants are essentially the spellcasters for this army and do all the magical workload.
Kavalos
The Liege-Kavalos is for you! Available in a dual kit that also builds the deadly character Arch-Kavalos Zandtos, these battlefield commanders are deadly fighters in their own right as well as being great for enhancing your other Ossiarch Bonereapers.
Both of these options are sure to be good options for the cavalry force. If you want a group that moves fast and hits hard be sure to get these as well.
Kavalos Deathriders
Mortek Guard
Where the Mortek Guard are indomitable, the Kavalos Deathriders are fast. These are the vanguard of your army, capable of ranging ahead of your main force and carving bloody furrows through your enemy’s lines. Customisable with different heads, choices of weapons and a variety of interchangeable components, they can even be used as your battleline units in a matched play army.
Immortis Guard
The Necropolis Stalkers set, for instance, would be cool enough if all it built was these fast-moving, multi-bladed and flexible hunters, but the fact that it also makes the nigh-indestructible, shield-bearing Immortis Guard is the icing on the cake!
Gothizzar Harvester
For something even more brutal – and armed to the flesh-flensing teeth with useful special abilities – may we humbly suggest a Gothizzar Harvester? As well as being deadly in close combat, this shambling horror has the power to turn dead units (either friend or foe) into fresh troops for your army.
This guy is going to be one seriously heavy hitter. This is going to hit hard and take hits. If you want a beefy model, this is the premier choice for the Bonereapers.
Mortek Crawler
The Mortek Crawler is a cross between a trebuchet and some kind of multi-segmented bone-insect of death, both a stunning model to tie your collection together and a great way to delete enemy units that dare defy your undying will.
Terrain
With Christmas on the horizon, we’re happy to reveal two massive boxed sets absolutely packed to the gills with Dominion of Sigmar terrain, each easily containing enough scenery to transform even the most barren tabletop into a thematic battlefield.
Hallowed Stormthrone
The Hallowed Stormthrone set contains a new frame, currently only found in this box, that allows you to build a rune-engraved throne
Penumbral Stormvault
Meanwhile, the Penumbral Stormvault comes with a Penumbral Engine, previously only available in Forbidden Power, making it a great way to get your hands on one of these invaluable bits of battlefield scenery.
New Accessories
There’s also a new bundle set of painting handles available – Start Collecting! Painting Handles, if you will! This set will save you money compared to getting the handles inside separately, making it great when you’re buying in bulk.
Of course, painting is one thing, but what about undercoating? Recently, spray sticks have proved to be an invaluable tool for hobbyists looking to get their models ready for painting fast. However, making one is an arduous exercise involving adhesives and bits of scrap wood often found in skips. Save yourself the hassle (and the funny looks) by getting yourself a Citadel Spray Stick – the only spray stick designed for your models.
And one more much-requested new product for painters. Ever spilled Agrax Earthshade by knocking over the pot? We’ve all been there.
NOT ANYMORE.
White Dwarf: Apocrypha
As we come to the end of the new-and-improved White Dwarf’s first year, we’re giving you a chance to experience over 40 years of this essential hobby magazine’s history. White Dwarf: Apocrypha is a compilation of classic and fan-favourite articles including the first-ever Tale of Four Gamers, a gallery of covers and much, much more. It’s the ideal gift for White Dwarf superfans. Or, y’know, yourself.
The Dark Millennium Playing Cards
Each card features art from John Blanche, with every suit exploring a different part of the 41st Millennium as envisioned in his dark imagination. At the very least, it’ll make those Christmas games of Snap more exciting.
Are you excited about the new Faction? Do you play Death or are you thinking about starting army? Maybe you’re just excited to explore another space of the world and see all the new terrain?
