Every Warhammer 40k fan knows that Space Marines often steal the spotlight. Here’s a quick breakdown of the latest rumored Space Marine models said to be coming in 2026. Don’t forget that none of these rumors are real until Games Workshop reveals the official products!

Still Rumored:
  • Space Marines Codex: Should see a new release alongside 11th.
  • Old Armor Marks in Primaris Size: GW may be releasing Space Marine armor marks in one universal size that ends the Primaris vs. Firstborn designation.
  • Track Vehicles could see a rework: (think Rhino and Land Raider)
  • Ravenwing: Supposedly up for a big rework in 11th Edition.
  • Second Founding Releases: A Possibility of these SF chapters getting new models and rules. Think Pedro Kantor, Gabriel Seth, and Lias Issodon.
  • A New Guilliman sculpt fighting against Daemon Primarch Lorgar.

New Space Marines Models For 11th Edition: (Confirmed)

11th Edition Armageddon

We know that the Marine half of the starter set is built to hit fast, pressure the mid-board, and punish anything expensive that gets left out in the open. GW has shown off the new Marines in Blood Angels colors, but the models are fully usable for any Space Marine Chapter, so nobody’s getting locked into red armor unless they want to be.

There have already been a ton of rumors and reveals around the new Starter box, though, and you can check out all the coverage on the new Space Marine models here.

Now, here’s where things start to heat up: new Space Marine Codex rumors are back, and all fingers point to it being first for 11th.

Generally, GW’s new edition rollout follows a pretty familiar pattern. Two factions get the spotlight in the summer launch box with a batch of new minis, then around September or October, those armies usually get their standalone releases with codexes and even more new kits.

That second wave is also when GW tends to drop the full multi-part versions of the push-fit models from the starter box, so players who skipped the launch set, or just want more flexible builds, can finally grab them separately.

New Space Marine Model Moving To Legends Rumors

RIP Gone But Not Forgotten Space Marines Legends indomitus

The latest Space Marine rumors go beyond the foot troops this time, as there’s supposedly plenty of vehicle support as well. This time, the big claim is that nearly every remaining Firstborn infantry unit could be headed to Legends, with most classic Firstborn vehicles possibly following.

That’s quite a claim, and even the folks on the forums who read it are cautious about it. The silver lining? If older tracked vehicles are being sidelined, Games Workshop may be clearing space for a broader 11th-edition refresh.

Space Marine Vehicle Rumors: New Rhino, Land Raider, Predator & More

We’ve also been hearing for a while now that the Rhino and Land Raider could be the top candidates for updated kits. Honestly, they could use the glow-up. Both kits are well over 20 years old, and while they’ve done heroic service on hobby desks everywhere, they’re definitely showing their age now.

The good news is that if Games Workshop updates them with cleaner Horus Heresy plastic-style redesigns, we could be looking at easier builds, sharper details, and fewer of those classic Space Marine tank headaches that make you question your life choices halfway through assembly.

Plus, if the Rhino chassis gets refreshed first, it could leave the door open for future Predator, Razorback, or Vindicator-style redesigns, rather than seeing those iconic kits quietly discontinued as well.

A New Guilliman: Space Marine Primarch Model Rumors

Roboute GuillimanPrimarch models are always headline news, and the latest chatter points to some big names possibly stepping onto the stage. Guilliman’s current model dates back to 2018, and while it still looks sharp, he’s one of the best-selling characters in Warhammer 40k.

More UltramarinesWith Games Workshop pushing a wave of new Ultramarines kits and hinting that more are on the way, the timing feels ripe for a new Guilliman sculpt to tie everything together.

What seems more likely is that there isn’t a new Primarch model coming for 40k, but rather a new plastic Guilliman model is coming for the Horus Heresy’s Ascendant series of models.

Valark even updated his rumors to say that Forge World’s product line will stop using resin with the introduction of Angron’s new model and go all-in on plastic for the rest of the Primarch Series.

LorgarOn the Chaos side, the whispers don’t stop there. Word is that Lorgar, the original architect of the Heresy and long-missing Daemon Primarch, could be next in line for a plastic resurrection. Pairing Guilliman with Lorgar in an end-of-edition narrative arc would create the kind of clash that sells models, drives lore, and reshapes the competitive scene.

It’s still unconfirmed rumor territory, but if both a new Guilliman and Lorgar hit shelves around the 11th Edition transition, even if it’s for Horus Heresy, we’d be looking at one of the most devastating Primarch face-offs in recent memory.

Space Marine Bikes & Land Speeder Rumors

land speeder stormFast attack might also be getting a shake-up. Rumors point to new Land Speeder variants, which could mean a reimagined Scout Land Speeder, something totally new, or another Primaris-style take on the classic skimmer role.

outriders whcThere’s also chatter about a long-requested multi-part Outriders kit. The original bikes are fun, but hobbyists have wanted more poses, weapon options, and maybe even a mounted character for ages. If Space Marines are getting more speed and customization, bikes and speeders are the obvious place to start.

Ravenwing Reforged: The Fastest Angels To Get Their Due?

Dark Angels Ravenwing Detachment Rules 5

Dark Angels fans, your patience might finally pay off. 10th Edition gave the Deathwing a full makeover, leaving the Ravenwing in their exhaust fumes, same bikes, same landspeeders, same “cool but crusty” vibe. But if the whispers are true, 11th Edition is where the Ravenwing may hit the tabletop with new models too!

A new Sammael model is rumored to lead the charge, possibly on an updated jetbike that doesn’t look like it came straight out of 2006. On top of that, there’s talk about reworked Landspeeders and an overhaul of the standard bike kits.

Translation? The whole Ravenwing range might finally catch up with the sleek aesthetics and build quality of the rest of the Space Marines.

Sammael of the Ravenwing

For players who’ve been hoarding old Ravenwing kits or trying to make the old sculpts work in a Primaris world, this update could mean less kitbashing and more clean builds straight from the box.

Second Founding Chapters: Space Marine Rumors

CM Pedro KantoValrak also seems to think that Pedro Kantor and the Crimson Fists are getting a whole lot of love lately. They’ve been nudged into the narrative more often, and while there’s no hard confirmation yet, the signs are all over the place: lore mentions, spotlighted artwork, and a very Pedro-shaped hole in the current model lineup.

Smart money says any new models won’t land until after 11th edition, but it’s looking like a solid bet that they’re on the roadmap.

Gabriel SethOn a different front, the Gabriel Seth crowd should keep an eye on the closing stretch of 2026 into early 2027.

Supposedly, that’s where Seth might finally swing his chainsword back into action with a new model and rule refresh. He’s always had that “last man swinging” vibe fitting for the Flesh Tearers, and it would be a great time to give him more than the wild-eyed scowl he’s been stuck with since resin ruled the land.

Predator Raptors 2nd CompanyAnd then there’s Lias Issodon and the Raptors. This one’s more of a breadcrumb trail than a flashing neon sign, but let’s be real: when decals for your chapter start appearing in recent kits, people are going to ask questions.

Issodon has always been a fan favorite for sneaky, surgical warfare, and with the growing spotlight on narrative-driven play, he’d slot in nicely with a new unit or detachment. The Raptors’ style of play is already a hit, think less “smash with hammer,” more “stab in the dark,” and we think the market’s absolutely there for it.

They’re also relatively easy to fold into the existing framework without rewriting the galaxy, and that makes them ideal targets for new kits and campaign hooks.

Classic Space Marine Armor Making a Comeback in a Big Way?

If you’ve been paying attention to the latest rumors in the hobby scene, you might have noticed something interesting: Games Workshop seems to be gearing up to make all Space Marines, well… just Space Marines again.

No more rigid Primaris vs. Firstborn divide, just power-armored warriors decked out in an array of classic and modern armor marks, all scaled up to fit the modern aesthetic.

Supposedly, soon there may be only “Space Marines,” no more “Firstborn” or “Primaris.”

fauxhammer Horus Heresy Space Marines miniatures size comparisonsThis move is long overdue. The old armor marks, from the rugged, rivet-heavy Mk II and Mk III to the sleek, high-tech Mk VIII, have a serious fan following. For years, players have wanted to see these designs return outside of Horus Heresy releases.

If the rumors are true, we’re looking at a full range of Primaris-scaled Marines rocking everything from relic suits to freshly forged armor, bringing back the best of both worlds’ iconic history with modern proportions.

astartes II scythes of the emperorThis shift makes perfect sense. The Astartes 2 trailer gave us a hint at different armor styles being in play, and with the Horus Heresy 3.0 edition launching an Mk II armor-heavy box.  So, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a steady rollout of power-armored warriors in all flavors over the next year.

A big Horus Heresy box set packed with infantry could drop first, giving players a full wave of classic armor, followed by a wave of 40K models six months later that reintroduces those legendary designs in a way that fits modern tabletop battles.

MK III Horus Heresy Tactical SquadFrom a practical standpoint, this is a win for hobbyists. More armor variety means more customization, more dynamic army compositions, and let’s be honest, more reasons to expand the backlog of unpainted models (we’ve all been there).

It also gives Games Workshop an organic way to refresh older units without reinventing the wheel, keeping longtime players happy while making the faction more accessible to newcomers.

If these changes roll out alongside 11th Edition, expect a shake-up in the lore and rules to match. Whether that means a new starter set featuring these classic armor designs or a gradual expansion remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: Space Marines may look better than they have in years.

Is the Reworked Intercessor the Payoff?

Armageddon Starter Box 11th Edition Space MarineWhen GW showed off the new-style Intercessors coming in the 11th Edition launch box, and the message was pretty clear: Primaris as a separate label is basically done. We’re back to just Space Marines, which honestly feels like where this was always headed.

What’s less clear is whether these new Intercessors are the endpoint of all the armor mark rumors above, or if there are still more kit updates waiting in the wings. GW probably won’t come out and say, “Yep, Firstborn and Primaris are over as separate designations of Astartes,” but that sure seems to be the direction of travel.
