MiniWarGaming Answers Questions About Their Future

Miniwargaming asks fans for help dave mattMatt from MiniWarGaming responds to over a thousand comments from their most recent video about the future of MWG.

MiniWarGaming, the production company responsible for a ton of hobby goodness mainly specializing in Battle Reports, has come across a difficult point in their business’ timeline and they are asking the hobby community-at-large for help.

They actually made a response to the community’s questions just hours after their first video, lumping a majority of the comments into big groups. But before we jump into that, let’s lay the groundwork for what’s going on.

MiniWarGaming Needs Your Help

Miniwargaming asks fans for helpMiniWarGaming has fallen on difficult times and is reaching out to the community they’ve been creating content for over the course of twelve years. While they’ve grown and have been responsible for awesome battle reports and other hobby encouragement, they are seeking financial support.

One of the main problems comes from their Video-viewing/support platform, Vimeo, they contacted MiniWarGaming saying that they would be increasing their service costs by 1700%The cost that would normally be paid for a year of services now only gets them by for three weeks.

One of the ways you can help that they are asking for is to become a MiniWarGaming Vault Member. This is a subscription hobby content area on their website that unlocks a ton of other hobby content that you don’t normally get. There are narrative campaigns and other great tabletop gaming videos that you won’t be able to find on Youtube.

MiniWarGaming Answers Questions About Their Future

matt miniwargamingMiniWarGaming combed through the comments after their first video tagged the ears of hobbyists across the community and wanted to talk more on some of the suggestions people were bringing to the table. Some of these were:

Q. Why don’t you get away from Vimeo and try another hosting service?  A. Other hosting services have been looked into and Vimeo still remains the cheapest by far.

Q. Why don’t you do more competitive battle reports?  A. Although there is a community of competitive gamers, MiniWarGaming is built on casual gaming more-so than competitive. They are looking into something further down the line for that. However, they suggested watching other great channels that are better-handled for competitive play.

Q. Why don’t you move everything to Patreon instead?  A. MiniWarGaming has found more success behind using their own exclusive content avenue over Patreon. They didn’t go into exact number details, however, they did say that Patreon is a great source for one or two-man businesses to grow. However, MiniWarGaming has, in a sense, outgrown that shell from sheer staffing size.

There are a few more points discussed in the video, but rest assured, all of our voices have been heard and MiniWarGaming is working on overcoming these difficulties. Be sure to check out the response video below:

From Miniwargaming on Youtube:

With all of this going on, they are incredibly thankful for everyone who has joined the Vault since their first video. But they are still calling for more support. It’s definitely not for nothing as you get plenty of hobby content you won’t find anywhere else. I

f being a Vault member doesn’t interest you, you can also always go to their web store and grab a few hobby supplies as well! Let’s help these hobby heroes out!
