GMM Studios finished another army and it’s ready to make Papa Nurgle happy! Check out the fine details packed into each model. From the Lord of War Mortarion all the way down to the single Pox Walker, this army is going to be turning heads.
GMM Studios Death Guard Army Showcase: The Scourged Rippers
There’s a new army finished and this time we’re bringing out 15 lbs of Nurgle! This is one of those armies where it feels there is so much to say, and so much flavor. But it’s better to let the pictures do the talking. The request was simple – slightly rusty black, with ochre and red accents, and a Halloween feel but very serious and horrific.
Jumping into this list, Morty and his band of merry men have joined him with some freaking outstanding paint jobs. Clad in red with dingy brown wings, Morty stands out from the grotesque crowd.
With that you’d expect from an age-old Nurgle Land Raider, it’s been horrifically mutated and twisted with “blessings” from the Grandfather.
The Land Raider was just a surprise and something I wanted to do for a while. Lots of steps of sculpting, just having fun blending flesh and armor, and replacing the treads with crawling tentacles. Fun to paint too.
Plagueburst Crawlers supported the slow and purposeful advance from the death guard rocking a dirty, yet clean appearance with clever weathering and paint scratches.
It wouldn’t be a real Death Guard list without a few Plague Marines acting as the backbone of the army either. Each Marine is a testament to the amount of hobby love put into each. From minor scratches on the ceramite plates to ominous glowing orange eye-lenses, each one could be a character in their own right.
To keep the beautifully painted Morty alive and on the table as long as possible, some Deathshroud Terminators were also brought along. Their job is to soak wounds for their Papa while he murderlates (yes, that’s a technical term) everything in the way.
