Looks ‘Shopped: New GW Rumor Engine Emerges

gw rumor engineAnother rumor engine is here and this time, it looks like some obvious editing has been done. Check out what could be missing from this teased bit.

Warhammer Community dropped another rumor engine showing what looks to be an obviously-edited bit. We know that GW doesn’t have any problem flipping images or outright deleting certain details of the bit to throw us off.

More often than not, those edits are hard to spot at first glance. However, this time around it looks like they didn’t try to cover their tracks after cropping.

A Cropped Torso? New GW Rumor Engine Emerges

rumor engine 4-7-2020Here it is. This bit looks like some kind of torso…at least from what we can tell. Since there’s no stitching or overlapping plates, it makes us think that we aren’t looking at any kind of metal/thick leather body armor either. However, there are some bones that look to be sewn into the piece through the eye sockets and it’s all one continuous flowing “fabric” On that note, if we had to take a shot in the dark we’d say we’re looking at some kind of robes.

Now if we picture a dude wearing robes and covered in bones, we start to get a better image. Plus, some previous rumor engines come to mind as well.

rumor engine 3-31-2020These rumor engines are all ones we’ve seen in the recent past and both have some kind of bony aspect to them. It’s totally reasonable to see something like a Necromancer holding a one-handed axe in one hand and a staff in the other.

Now let’s talk about this obvious editing job. If you look at the latest pic at the top left and right-hand sides, you’ll see some white lines that just don’t look normal. If we are looking at some robes, those places are the perfect spot where pauldrons would be. However, if those pauldrons had some kind of insignia on them it might be a giveaway as to what we’re looking at. That could be why they were cropped out…the editing  job is obvious.

With all of this on the table, we’re beginning to see more and more bones emerge and they all seem to (possibly) fit in with one another.

Do you think we are looking at some pieces of a new faction? Could this be just an updated Necromancer model in AoS?
