En Garde Another Rapier Spotted: GW Rumor Engine

Rumor Engine new GW header wal horAnother rumor engine is here and it’s time to talk about this mysterious hand holding a fancy sword. Check out these details.

Warhammer Community revealed another rumor engine and it’s time to talk about it. This is one of those rumor engines where we know exactly what we’re looking at. However, the bigger mystery is who or what is holding it. Let’s jump into the details.

En Garde Another Rapier Spotted: GW Rumor Engine

rumor engine 9-8-20So here’s the new rumor engine. This one is interesting because it takes some elements of real-world swords and meshes them together into one bit. While this one here is a cross between a Messer (from the thick blade) and a Rapier (from the cross and loop guards), the bottom line is that we know it’s a sword and there’s somebody holding it.

rumor engine 5-19-2020It’s very similar in style to this rumor engine that we saw earlier and has yet to be debunked.

It’s like somebody grabbed this thing with one of those stretchy slime hand toys that you get out of those 25 cent gumball machines. Definitely weird.

Also if you look toward the upper right corner of the frame, the handle actually extends pretty far. It’s probably not going to be a two-handed sword, however, because the wielder has his finger threaded through the quillon on the hilt which is used for control in fencing.

What do you think about this rumor engine? Could there be a new faction on the way to AoS with some fancy rapier fighters?
