Well, it looks like the Death Guard 40k release is being delayed. So all you Nurgle lovers will have to wait a little longer for new stuff.
Today on Warhammer Community they released the news. With all the craziness of COVID-19 and another UK lockdown, they had to make the tough decision to push back the release date. In our opinion, this is a good thing. If they don’t have everything ready, it’s better to wait a little longer and make sure everything is in order before sending out a haphazard release.
When are they coming out now? Well, all they say is early next year. We wonder if this will push back the other releases as well, or if they will double it up with one release from next year. Only time will tell.
The Death Guard Release is Being Delayed…
This means the codex, along with the minis will be delayed. Let’s hear a little more from them about it:
Nurgle’s loyal disciples will have to wait a little longer for the new Death Guard codex and accompanying releases, as the ongoing effects of COVID-19 have caused unavoidable delays to crucial shipments.
Given the circumstances, we’ve had to take the difficult decision to delay the Death Guard launch until early next year. We are, of course, devastated that the sons of Barbarus can’t release in time for the holiday season as intended. But these unfortunate circumstances are beyond our control.
Some pretty sad news, but we’d rather it be a full release. Still, an extra month or so isn’t a long time to wait for a far better release. However, it looks like the free mini promotion and coin will be moving forward.

They are still going to release the DG free mini and the coin this month. So, to get the coin you will have to spend over the $100, but you won’t be able to spend it on the new DG stuff. Oh well, a free mini is still a free mini.
