We had seen some pictures of the new 40k Ork coin earlier, but now we’ve spotted one on eBay and it looks real!
We have been seeing a ton of teasers for Orks lately, so it makes sense that before all the slowdowns they were going to be the February release. But it felt like the coin could easily be conjecture since it was just posted as a picture.
Well, now one has been spotted on eBay from a reputable seller with 100% positive feedback with tons of products sold. Well, even if you don’t want to grab the coin early, this bodes very well for the Orks coming out soon! Let’s check out what we know.
The first time we Saw the Coin in the Wild
This is the first coin we spotted in the wild, from the 40k Orks Facebook Group, but we couldn’t find it on eBay. Now, with the new coin coming from a reputable seller, it feels like the stores really might already have these in stock! Still, with the slowdown, March/April/May looks like the earliest month for the Orks to get a codex. That also makes us wonder how far in advance they send these out to their stores. Or if they were just prepping Orks for February before the covid slowdown. If you think about it GW stores could very well have all the coins in stock for all we know. Either way, this is fun to speculate on!
40k Ork Coin Spotted for Sale on eBay!
This looks pretty legit! It is going for a pretty hefty price tag of GBP 79.99 (about $108), but hey, if you want the coin before anyone else, it could be worthwhile for the right collector. If you want to see the listing, check it out here. If you just love Orks that much and want to flaunt it in front of everyone’s eyes, why not? Everything about it looks very legit. If it is a fake, man they did a great job on it!
Let’s hope it’s not, but you never really know. Either way, it’s pretty cool to see and, if it’s true, basically guarantees Orks a very early codex spot. Also worth mentioning, the seller is from the UK and we’re not sure how they got their hand on this, but being near the headquarters is always a plus.
Comparing the Coin
It has all the same languages and basically lines up perfectly. Again, this could be someone taking this as a template and faking it, but if it is, they did a great job, until it sells and they have to ship it lol. With all that, let’s now take a look at the possible free Ork mini coming!

This style of mini lines up perfectly with how the first two free promotions worked and considering they got their codex early into 8th, it would make sense for this to be a promo coming up very soon. Orks could very well be the 4th/5th free mini. And if this coin is legit, that bodes extremely well for them to be next.
Or perhaps this is a new Ork release like the rumored newr Tankbuster of Kommand box? It’s very hard to tell at this point!
