GW just revealed the first New Model Monday and it looks like vampire lovers will be getting Kritza, the Rat Prince!
Today on Warhammer Community they released the first pics of the (hopefully) ongoing series. If you didn’t hear, this new series will be unveiling a new mini every week that we’ve never seen before.
Some of them will be from previous Rumor Engines, so be on the lookout for some of your favorites to pop up in their full glory.
This week though, the Soulblight Vampires are getting some reinforcements in the way of the Rat Prince. The mini is quite entertaining and just full of character! Let’s jump into it.
The First-Ever New Model Monday: Kritza, the Rat Prince
You may have noticed the Rat Prince’s fabulous (or should that be verminous?) cloak and somewhat murine appearance. Well, it appears that his unorthodox transformation into a vampire had some unusual side-effects. In addition to being accompanied by his ‘vermintide’ of rats – both living and undead – Kritza can transform into a swarm of rodents to evade his foes.

We’re not sure if there will be two models for this because if he could actually turn into a swarm of rodents in-game, that would just be awesome. Maybe that’s why his base is so big. Because he could easily fit on a smaller one, but we imagine when he turns into a bunch of rats, they’ll need a base this size. We’ll just have to wait and see on that one, but if you ask us, there’s a good chance of it happening.
The mini itself is interesting and full of character if nothing else! With the aloof appearance and rats everywhere, this could be a really fun mini to paint up. Since all the releases are really slowed down, this is a fun way to keep engaged with new stuff coming out.
They didn’t really say if the releases will be alternating between 40k and fantasy, so be sure to keep an eye out for next week to see what’s coming!
