Warhammer 40k Eternal Crusade is Coming to an End

Eternal-Crusade- marine video game dark angel horIf you love Warhammer 40k Eternal Crusade, get those playing hours in now because time has run out for the game…

Eternal Crusade seems to have had so many mixed reviews it just never really became what it could have been. Mired more or less in development for the entirety of its life span, things never quite lived up to expectations.

Originally launched to the public back in September of 2016, now, 5 years later the game is set for extermination. The concept was always great, sometimes it was a lot of fun, but with how things went, it just never captured exactly what it was after.

Eternal Crusade reviewsYou can see what we mean by mixed reviews as basically 50% like it, 50% didn’t.

The first couple of years were a little rough, then in 2018, they tried to make some big changes. Since then the game has received tweaks and offered incentives. Still, here we are, and the game is only going to be running for a few more months.

Hello Crusaders,

Today we are announcing the sunsetting of the game. The servers will be closing on the 10th of September 2021. Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade will no longer be playable at this point. We are proud of all of the work that went into Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, and for the amazing community that rallied behind the game. Thank you for everything, we appreciate all of your support through the years.

Thank you for this adventure, The Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade crew

Eternal Crusade CoverWell, there you have it, the game that some loved, some hated is coming to an end. The most recent patch to the game was almost two years ago, so whether interest just fell off too much, or something else, we’re not exactly sure.

In a way, it’s very bittersweet as the game had managed to hang around for five years. So again, if you are feeling a little nostalgic, or just want to get in those last few games, makes sure you do soon!

Did you like the game? Do you feel like it just never lived up to its potential?
