New Necromunda Van Saar gang models are hitting pre-orders next week along with an exclusive AoS MTO release!
Games Workshop just let us in on all the new releases that are finally going up for pre-order this coming Saturday.
Now let’s look at next week’s line-up from Warhammer Community.
Holga Clovenhorn
This Aspiring Champion of the Oathsworn tribes is the perfect addition to your Slaves to Darkness collection. She’s certainly tooled up for war – not only does she have a sword and daemonic shield strapped to her back, she’s carrying with one of the largest spiked mauls you’re ever likely to see. It’s clear to see how she earned her ‘Clovenhorn’ moniker, as one of her majestic horns had been shorn from her head – no doubt in a deadly duel with a rival champion from which she emerged triumphant.
She also happens to be this years’ AoS event mini, but due to the pandemic, it will release next week online, with no pre-order window, giving everyone a chance to get it.
Van Saar Arachni-rig
The Arachni-rig may look like a mechanical monstrosity, but it’s in fact a stylised servo-rig designed to lend its wearer immense strength for performing load-bearing tasks in heavy industry. With a bit of retrofitting, however, it can be tooled up to become a devastating weapons platform to spearhead a gang war.
“A bit of retrofitting” seems to actually just mean paint and add at least four guns, who knew?
An Arachni-rig serves as a Brute for the House of Artifice, and can be outfitted in a variety of ways according to your need. The servo-rig itself can be shielded with light or heavy carapace armour cladding, while its choice of weaponry includes a mix of crushing servo-arms and either rad or plasma guns for cutting down targets from afar.
This new model definitely looks good though, and it will stand out a ton in your gang on the tabletop.
Van Saar Champion in Carapace Armour with Cyberachnids
If your Van Saars are in need of some devastating fire support, look no further than this carapace-armoured champion, armed with a lascannon for all your one-shot-one-kill needs. He’s accompanied by three Cyberachnids – mechanically augmented exotic beasts that can effortlessly traverse any terrain and incapacitate their prey with toxic venom.
This champion option has a huge launcher, which to be honest does look a little bit like a Spartan Laser from halo, so maybe it can also one-shot vehicles?
Van Saar Champions in Mesh and Flak Armour
This pair of Van Saar champions make a great addition to your gang. Equipped with reliable weapons, solid armour, and advanced bodysuits, they’ll dominate the underhive at every range with their souped-up las weapons and servo glove. Either champion can be used as an Augmek or an Archeotek to suit your gang’s needs.
As the final product in the teaser, these also make a good addition to the variety of your gang on the tabletop, but ultimately it’s up to you if you want to stand out from the other Van Saar players.
Last week’s teaser and most of the Black Templar offerings are still available to pre-order, so we’ve included that below as a quick reminder if you are interested!
40k Black Templars Army Box
Get yours for less on Amazon, Dicehead Games, or eBay
The Army Box is still available on the secondary market, so if you missed it the first time around, it may not be too late to find one still.
Here’s the box we’ll be looking at today. It comes with 13 minis and 12 of them are new. Unfortunately, the value isn’t super high in this one.
The cool thing about this set was that they allowed stores to get as many as they wanted, and they said they would have put it to MTO for people when they ran out of initial stock. However, they didn’t sell through all their stock and never even had to MTO it. If you want to see how the pre-orders flopped you can check that out here.
The Army Set contains 13 miniatures, including 12 new Black Templars – a Marshal, the Emperor’s Champion, and a 10-man Primaris Crusader Squad with a ton of build options. You’ll also get a Redemptor Dreadnought, for targets that require a more forceful elimination.
These could all change, but we think the values below are pretty spot-on:
- Primaris Crusader Squad $60
- Redemptor Dreadnought $65 (existing kit)
- Emperor’s Champion $35
- Marshal $35
- Codex:$30 (not really a limited edition because of production numbers & resale price)
- Datacards: $25
Total MSRP: $255
Estimated Value: $50
