The FactoruM October GT happened over the weekend with some pretty sweet 40k army lists towards the top!
The tournament is over and now we’re able to look at which lists managed to secure a place at the top! Check out what these winners brought in their armies.
Top Warhammer 40k Army Lists: FactoruM GT October
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves. You can check out the details for the event here.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
Now let’s check out the top three more in-depth!
3rd Place: Jack Beaman – World Eaters
2nd Place: Jack West – Custodes
1st Place: James Pilkington – Orks
James went for two Outrider Detachments, making a clear emphasis on Fast Attacks! the first is led by a Deffkill Wartrike, making for a durable model that can zip around the map and lay down some hurt.
The First Fast Attacks we see are a total of 5 Rukkatrukk Squigbuggies, which bring in a surprising amount of ranged firepower that will absolutely shred all marines (and any other 2 wound models).
Flyers then keep it simple and bring into Dakkajets, which are some fantastic harass models that can deal damage every turn from the skies!
The second Detachment is led by a Big Mek, which is notably a very durable model, while also being able to repair nearby vehicles, which this list has plenty of. Elites bring in 10 Kommandos, which actually serve as the method of taking objective in the list, while the vehicles lay waste to the opponent’s models.
Fast Attacks this time bring in 6 Scrapjets, for an entire squadron of flying threats that are simply too much to deal with. Even better, when they get shot down you get the potential to explode them in and deal mortals taking out even more models than what they get from their ranged weapons.
Wrapping up fast attack are a total of 10 Stormboyz for just a pinch of extra Objective taking power.
Closing out the list are two more Jets, to add to the already extreme amount of ranged-flying-threats. This list looks to wipe out the opponent’s list and collect free points, instead of even trying to play the whole board control game!
