New Sisters of Battle Order of the Bloody Rose 40k Rules

sisters-of-battle-title-Morven-VahlIt looks like the codex supplements just keep coming as new Sisters of Battle Order of the Bloody Rose rules will be in Vigilus.

For whatever reason GW has been seemingly obsessed with giving the Sisters of Battle new codex supplements. While getting new rules is fun, at this point it’s getting a little… hectic? Still, if you play the faction, it’s time for new rules.

Warhammer Community unveiled new stratagems, wargear, and abilities. They also mention the book will give them an Army of Renown (as in singular), a little power boost, some missions, and a lot of background info. Let’s check out the rules.

New Sisters of Battle Order of the Bloody Rose Rules

Order of the Bloody Rose

Paragon Warsuits are already scary, but wait until you’ve seen them fight with the power of the Order of the Bloody Rose. The enraged machine spirits within these warsuits match the fervour of their pilots, allowing them to butcher hordes of enemies with ease.

For 1 CP this can net you a ton of extra attacks. Half of your attacks will be getting an extra attack, so if you have a decent number of suits left in the unit, you will be getting a lot off this.

The Fuelled By Rage stratagem allows Sisters of Battle to return fire on death, giving them one last attempt to fell heretics before succumbing to their injuries – which is especially potent on the heavy-weapon-toting Retributors.

This is a pretty cool stratagem and makes sense a Retributor Squad costs more as they have some serious weaponry to fire.

New Warlord Trait & Relic

Fiery Example

Bloody Rose Warlords are unsurprisingly even more impassioned than their subordinates. They hurl themselves at the enemy without hesitation, adding one to their wound rolls for melee attacks, with the ability to earn miracle dice for slaying heretical characters.

This is pretty interesting because if you can get your Warlord in combat against a bunch of characters, she’ll generate plenty of Miracle Dice, and hopefully with the addition to the wound roll actually be able to take them out.

Armor of Sacrifice

The Armour of True Sacrifice not only bears the wear and tear of innumerable battles – it also marks out the wearer as one of the Emperor’s chosen.

This will make the wearer harder to kill, but if they do lose wounds, you’ll get to score those needed miracle dice!
