The Stonehammer 36 Chambers happened over the weekend with some pretty sweet 40k army lists taking the top spots!
The tournament is over and now we’re able to look at which lists managed to secure a place at the top! Check out what these winners brought in their armies.
Stonehammer 36 Chambers: Top 40k Army Lists

3rd Place: Ashley Parkinson – Tau Empire
2nd Place: Mike Porter – Custodes

1st Place: Matt Robertson – Tyranids
Matt’s winning army list was a fairly elite one-detachment setup! The HQs are a Swarmlord and two Hive Tyrants with wings. The Swarmlord helps by being a beast in melee and allowing a unit within 6 to double move instead of shoot every turn. The two Flying Tyrants are great because they are great melee threats with the bonus of great mobility thanks to those wings.
Troops keep it simple with a total of 9 Warriors, who are decent bodies and can help to sit on objectives while the suped-up character can lay waste to the enemy forces.
Elite has 6 Hivegurad with Impaler Cannons, which can deal a ton of damage and can shoot at enemies without seeing them!
Fast Attacks bring in two Dimachaerons, who are two more fantastic melee models that also happens to pump out mortal wounds to low-strength units.
Finally, there are 2 Harpys in for Flyers, which are two sources of decent mobility that can zip around the map and pick off lone squads with ease.
