Rob is back unboxing the newest releases for the Eldar and Chaos. He’ll see what it takes to get them ready for the tabletop, show the size of the models, and tell you the GOTCHAS to be aware of when building them!
We are going to show you everything including the sprues, bits, and of course, the size. That way you can decide if these are worth your hard-earned hobby dollars.

The box itself is pretty big and has a lot inside, with a book, terrain, and minis. Just remember though, this does not come with the core rules. Just something to think about. Let’s first check out the value, then take a look at the minis.
Kill Team: Nachmund $195
Kill Team: Nachmund sees the Aeldari Voidscarred Corsairs take on the might of the Chaos Space Marines. This box is packed with new rules, missions, terrain, and miniatures that make up two full teams of special operatives equipped with a variety of weapons and wargear.
We’ve seen quite a few previews of this new Kill Team box, so it’s great to finally see it releasing! However, this is $25 more than Chalnath, so we’ll see how the value stacks up.
Miniatures
- New Eldar Voidscarred Corsairs $60 (based on most recent Sisters Kill Team & Aspect Warriors pricing)
- Chaos Space Marines with Upgrade sprue $70 (based on Pathfinders price increase)
The prices are guessed at this point, but based on what we’ve seen, we think this is pretty close.
Terrain
- Battlezone: Mechanicus – Ferratonic Furnace $60
- Thermic Plasma Regulators $35
- Sector Mechanicus Galvanic Servohaulers $30 (half of the normal box set)
- Thermic Plasma Conduits $35 (old price- currently not listed for sale from Games Workshop)
- Alchomite Stack $60 (comes with two of the same halves of the normal box set)
There are actually some bigger pieces in the box, so a lot of the cash savings will come in the way of terrain.
Accessories
- Kill Team Nachmund book $45 (based on Chalnath book that was just released)
This doesn’t come with the core Kill Team rules book, but still good to at least get something with it.
Total MSRP: $390
Savings Versus Box Price: $195
Chaos Instructions
As you can see, each guy comes with a bunch of different poses, and you could easily magnetize them. This might be good since we don’t know about the new codex. Still, it will take a lot of time to do it with each one, and Rob doesn’t really think it’s worth it for him.
How they built the weapons, makes them very hard to magnetize if you want all the special weapons. However, you could do it if you had a bunch of extra arms. The Chaincannon looks like it could be hard to build, especially if it doesn’t have nubs for everything, so be sure to keep an eye out for that.
Eldar Instructions
The Eldar arms look to be very magnetizable and they are even compatible with the new Guardians bits. They also look even easier than the Guardians, but we’ll have to see how it goes.
They have a ton of cool posing options, and really a lot of weapon choices as well. So overall, just a cool kit from the looks of it.
Sprues
The Eldar sprues are just full of bits and tons of options! They all are super detailed, and it’s almost hard to know where to start considering they have so many options. You can do a ton of stuff, and you should have plenty of leftovers for your other kitbashes.
This is the Choas sprue, we won’t take a look at the other one because we’ve already unboxed those. It’s not huge but does really add some variety to the sprue.
Built Minis
The Soulweaver is actually really cool, obviously, we went sort of fast here so there are some nubs, so just be sure to file them down. There is some gapping here and there, but if you use the Tamiya Extra Thin Cement, you should be good to go.
After looking at the minis, you could easily use all the Guardian parts for them and the other way around as well. With the bits combined, you could really make a ton of cool squads by mixing and matching.
All the models are really cool with just enough detail to let you paint them and still show off your skills.
You could really just do so much with this kit and a Guardian kit or two. This mini has such an old-school Necromunda feel, so Rob really likes it. You could also use the extra bits for this to make a couple of Warlocks and save some cash.
This was the main mini Rob was worried about, and there really is no indication of where to put the ammo feed or the back piece, so a little frustrating but nothing too bad overall.
All the other bits add a ton of flavor to the kit and they all look really detailed. Other than the first Chaos mini, nothing was really that hard to build. Overall, this kit has decent GW value, but it just comes down to if you need what’s inside!
