CSM on Par with Tyranids at Bristol Vanguard: Top 40k Army Lists
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
3rd Place: Mark Earney – Custodes
2nd Place: Dan Richards – Emperor’s Children
1st Place: Andy Taylor – Tyranids
Andy’s somewhat more unique Tyranid list comprises a single Spearhead led by a Flyrant and a Neurothrope. The Flying Hive Tyrant is a fantastic stat-stick model with the extra benefit of having a re-roll ability to help out friendly units, with the built-in benefit of having extra flexibility thanks to those wings while the Neurothrope offers a cheap-ish psyker.
Elites then bring in 3 Pyrovores, which serve as some cheap models that can explode for mortal wounds, while a Zoanthrope offers up even more psykers on the list. Heavy Support brings in some fantastic flexible models with 6 Carnifex.
Then closing out the list is 3 Tyrannofex, which are some large, slightly more range-focus models with a large wound pool.
Obviously, the last hurrah for a lot of armies in light of Nephilim Chapter Approved 2022 changes, as next week’s top 40k army lists are sure to shake up the meta a bit.
