AoS Gets 5 New FAQs: Core Rules & General’s Handbook

new-aos-3.0-faqGW just dropped AoS FAQs for Daughters of Khaine, Nighthaunt, Skaven, Sylvaneth, Be’lakor, the core rules, and the General’s Handbook!

At the beginning of the month, we had FAQs for basically every army to update to the new General’s Handbook, but it looks like the three new books needed a refresh. Plus, with the changes in the new GH, the core rules also need some updates.

If you’ve played for a while now, this is how it works. We’ll cover some of the changes, but considering so much is changing, be sure to check out the whole thing to get all the changes. Let’s get into it!

New AoS FAQs for 5 Armies, Core Rules & General’s Handbook

AoS FAQ

There is also an update for the new GH, so we’ll start with those changes.

AoS FAQ 2So, there was a bunch of confusion with some of the objectives. First, Lurkers Below has to be over two turns, so you can only claim one per turn. Prize of Gallet also now has to have the objectives activated, there was some confusion on it, so this should clear that up.

Lastly, for Idols, Kroak and the Krondspine cannot be chosen, considering they don’t really die in normal ways. So that also makes sense. Galletian Veterans also needed a lot of clarification and things that do not stop units from becoming veterans.

Core Rules Changes

AoS FAQ 4This is possibly the biggest general change. Now, they say the bonuses stack for things like the Akhelian King, where before they said it would overwrite. Now it explicitly states they stack.

Battletome Changes

Sylvaneth didn’t have a ton of changes, as most just focused around Lady of Vines, mainly just how the distances for her buffs work. However, Skaven grabbed a lot of FAQs, mainly because they have a lot of abilities to change the game.

AoS FAQ 7First up, Warpstone Addiction cannot be re-rolled because it’s not actually a casting roll. Next, Strength in numbers got a good clarification, it means 3″ is the biggest range, not 5″ (plus 3″).

AoS FAQ 5

AoS FAQ 6Basically, all this has to do with the weapons and the fact that you have to pick one, not all of them in one unit.
