GW just revealed the contents of the new Ogor Mawtribes Battletome; check out what the new book will have inside!
We saw a new model for the Ogors recently, and they were put up next on the roadmap, so it’s good to see the new book coming so soon. While it looks like there aren’t many new warscrolls inside, we can still hope some of the older models get a rework. Either way, at least they will have one new model if nothing else…
Here, are all the latest reveals for the Ogor Mawtribes:

New Ogor Mawtribes Battletome Gluttons & Ironguts Rules!
Warhammer Community unveiled the new rules but also some weapon profiles and special rules, so there is plenty to sink your teeth into!
Gluttons now get a Range of 2″ on their clubs and bluntblades, meaning big mobs can wade in and pulverise foes even outside the claustrophobic confines of Gallet.
Adding to the range is always really nice, and they still can dish out a lot of damage. So we’ll have to see the full profiles, but pretty sweet overall to get any buffs.
The ironclad elites of the Mawtribes wade into the fight, hacking and smashing foes into tender, bite-sized chunks. If the feast ever falters, it’s Down to the Ironguts to turn things around. This ability gets a serious upgrade in the new battletome, allowing these brutes to unleash their rage by fighting a second time once per battle. The strike-last effect is in play the second time, but these armoured bruisers are used to weathering blows.
This can really turn combat in your favor; just make sure when you unleash this, that plenty are going to survive as they are striking last. Either way, getting a unit or Irunguts striking twice is really nice, no matter which way you look at it.
Beastclaw Raiders constantly feel the frosty nibbling of the Everwinter at their heels – this constant harrying has toughened up their swift Mournfang Packs, making them reliable Linebreakers.
These corpulent cavaliers can now rush toward ranged units with impunity, subtracting one from wound rolls for missile attacks as arrows plink off their thick pelts. They can even anticipate enemy Unleash Hell commands, lunging forward with such ferocity that only an unmodified roll of 6 will wound them.
This is huge, as getting -1 to wound will hopefully let them survive until they can get into combat! While it doesn’t work in melee, it will hopefully let you get there with fewer casualties.
Not to be outdone, mighty Thundertusks can channel the supernatural cold that clings to their forms into a new monstrous rampage. Chill of the Everwinter blasts a glacial aura onto enemy units within 1″ of them, freezing each of them with a strike-last effect on a roll of 3+.
Forcing enemies to strike last is always nice, and on a 3+, you should be able to get it off most of the time. Not the craziest rampage we have seen, but it’s still pretty good! If you want to see the contents of the book, you can check that out here.
Ogor Mawtribes Battletome Contents Revealed!
Warhammer Community also unveiled the cover art, the contents, and some nice tidbits about what to expect in the book.
These tribes aren’t just mindless bellies on legs, though – their rough-and-ready culture is built on simple tenets – might is right, eating is good, and bodily functions are hilarious. These are the main ingredients of their cultural stew, but each tribe sprinkles in their own flavour– all covered in the battletome.
It’s always nice when your faction gets brought into the new edition; however, it does look like the Bloodpelt Hunter is the only “new” model as of right now.
The tome contains a hearty lore and background section, a gorgeous miniatures showcase with lots of painting tips, and an army rules section reworked for the current edition.
New battle traits unlock army construction options, while individual Mawtribes define your horde. Field ranks of extra powerful cannon-wielding Leadbelchers as the Underguts Mawtribe, or imbue your Mournfang Packs with unnatural swiftness with the Thunderbellies Mawtribe.
These flexible options are backed up by 28 warscrolls and a Path to Glory section focused on undertaking the Mawpath. There’s also a host of battle traits, command traits, artefacts, as well as spell lores and prayers for Butchers and Firebellies and Beastclaw Raider Priests, respectively.
The book looks pretty well-fleshed out, but we don’t know much about it overall yet. We’ll have to wait and see how the rules land, but hopefully, they get some upgrades because at this point, it doesn’t look like they will have many new model releases.
Let’s also take a quick look at the Bloodpelt Hunter!
New Bloodpelt Hunter
The Bloodpelt Hunter is a curious ogor – while most of his fellows immediately eat their prey and leave only marrow-sucked bones behind, he keeps whole body parts intact, preserved and strung about his person as trophies.
While this is a little different, it’s nice to see any new Ogor models! They didn’t mention whether this is leading to a bigger release for the Ogors, but judging from the Battletome above, there aren’t many new entries.
