Even more new MKVI Forge World Horus Heresy upgrades, this time for the Salamanders, have been revealed by Games Workshop.
This will be cast in resin from Forge World, so if you were hoping for all-new plastics for your models, it looks like we won’t be getting everything in plastic for Horus Heresy after all…
Last time they came right out and said the upgrades would be MTO, however, on these they just said pre-order. So who knows, maybe you could actually score these before the 180 days.
More New MKVI Forge World Upgrades Revealed
These updates were from this Warhammer Community post.
The Legion is named after the gigantic fireproof reptiles that congregate around their planet’s active volcanoes, and their MKVI helmet upgrades evoke these fearsome firedrakes with cunning custom plating in three draconic designs. This set of 11 resin heads also contains a plumed officer’s helmet with flame motifs, and one bare head.
These are some of the more interesting beaky heads we’ve seen in a while, and it’s also nice they always add in the one bare head.
You can also look forward to a set of 10 shoulder pads to help complete the Salamanders’ look. These feature the Legion’s draconic emblem and a subtle ridged trim. You have to expect an artisanal touch from the XVIII Legion.
While the shoulder pads aren’t the craziest thing ever, they are still cool and can make your minis stand out!
