4 New Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrol Box Bundles Announced

boarding-patrols-4-new-warhammer-40kFour new 40k Boarding Patrol boxes have been revealed by GW, this time for Adeptus Mechanicus, Daemons, Genestealer Cults, and Death Guard!

This is the third set of boxes we’ve seen so far, and while the Space Marines one sells for $110, we’re not sure if they are all going to go for the same price. These are sort of like small Combat Patrol boxes made specifically to be fielded for games of Warhammer 40k Boarding Actions.

So, expect them all to have a lot of foot sloggers, but again, the values have been all over the place, so we’ll have to see the final price. From the looks of it, GW may release one for every faction, but we’ll have to wait and see how long they do them. Let’s check out the boxes!

4 New Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrol Box Bundles Announced

The boxes come from this Warhammer Community Post.

New Boarding Patrols

The only problem? Everyone else wants in on the action, and now the whole galaxy is boarding the Arks of Omen in search of glory, treasure, or just a big punch-up. In fact, four more Boarding Patrol boxes are preparing for launch in the near future – and only one of them might be said to have the Emperor’s best interests at heart…

As we said, the only box to come out has been priced at $110, but we can’t be sure they will all be the same price. Still, the boxes this time are pretty interesting contents-wise…

Adeptus Mechanicus

New Boarding Patrols 2

The Adeptus Mechanicus bring a flexible force of 10 Skitarii, who can be built as Rangers or Vanguard, backed up by three hulking Kataphrons, which can be built as Destroyers or the appropriately-named Breachers. Scouting ahead are five Sicarians, who can be built as Ruststalkers or Infiltrators, all led by a Tech-Priest Dominus with a variety of arcane wargear options and a thirst for voidborne relics.

This is a decent box, but a little random on the selection of minis. Still, it should have some value, and if you need all the minis inside, it could be worth a pickup!

Chaos Daemons

New Boarding Patrols 3

Chaos Daemons have – appropriately, given the arrival of Angron – manifested as a huffing and slavering crash of Khornate nightmares. 10 Bloodletters and 10 Flesh Hounds are led by Khorne’s favourite hunter – Karanak, the Hound of Vengeance. In the cramped confines of a space hulk, these frenzied killers will close the distance between enemy guns with warp-flushed speed and savagery.

Well, if you want Flesh Hounds, then this is a really good box. However, that’s basically the whole box, so if you don’t want all the hounds, it may not be worth picking up.

Genestealer Cults

New Boarding Patrols 4

This Boarding Patrol contains 17 models in total – one gunslinging Kelermorph inspires a team of 10 Acolyte Hybrids, who can also be built as Hybrid Metamorphs, while a hulking Abominant is joined by his little Mindwyrm Familiar friend, and five nearly-as-hulking Aberrants.

Acolyte Hybrids/Hybrids are always fun to put on the field, and this has plenty! But again, like the Daemons box, it is a little specific, so if you want Hybrids, this box is awesome; if you don’t, it’s not for you.

Death Guard

New Boarding Patrols 5

Finally, the Death Guard heed Abaddon’s call, with an obdurate if slimy Boarding Patrol led by a Lord of Virulence. He’s joined by a bodyguard of three Deathshroud Terminators, as well as 10 versatile Plague Marines – three of which are taken from the much-sought-after Plague Marine Reinforcements set.

Finally, a box without a ton of Poxwalkers! This box is pretty solid as you get a lot of troops but not a giant number of models overall.
