New Boarding Patrol Boxes Announced For Eldar & Drukhari

Is-this-Worth-It-&-Value-aeldari-boarding-patrolsTwo new 40k Boarding Patrol boxes have been revealed by GW, this time for Eldar and Drukhari- check them out!

This is the fourth set of boxes we’ve seen so far, and while the Space Marines one sells for $110, we have also seen the Chaos Box and Tyranids go for $125, so the prices aren’t necessarily going to be the same. These are sort of like small Combat Patrol boxes made specifically to be fielded for games of Warhammer 40k Boarding Actions.

So, expect them all to have a lot of foot sloggers, but again, the values have been all over the place, so we’ll have to see the final price. From the looks of it, GW may release one for every faction, but we’ll have to wait and see how long they do them. Let’s check out the boxes.

New Boarding Patrol Boxes Announced For Eldar & Drukhari

The boxes come from this Warhammer Community Post.

Boarding Patrol Eldar

Plenty of Boarding Patrol boxes are coming to join the fun – but the starfaring Aeldari are masters of sailing through the void, and their spiky cousins are no strangers to raiding stranded vessels and even space hulks.

Boarding Patrol: Eldar

Boarding Patrol Eldar 2

Boarding Patrol: Aeldari contains 20 Corsairs who can be built either as Voidreaver Troops or as tooled-up Voidscarred Elites. These versatile kits provide a solid firebase – or pistol-packing combatants – while Jain Zar and five of her finest Howling Banshees dance through the decks, unleashing disorientating psychosonic screams as they cut their foes to ribbons.

This is an interesting box because the majority of it is Corsairs. This means you really need to want a lot of Corsairs for this to be worth it, but if you do want the Corsairs and Banshees, this could be a decent pickup.

Boarding Patrol: Drukhari

Boarding Patrol Eldar 3

Succubi are skilled duelists, making them a perfect leader for the close confines of a Boarding Action. They command 20 Wyches, acrobatic murderers who no-one wants to get stuck in a room with, and have also hired five Incubi – heavily-armoured shock troopers who can clear out whole gangways with their razor-sharp demiklaives.

This is a bit more normal in terms of composition and could be a decent pickup for anyone who wants Wyches, and Incubi are always a good addition to your forces. We’ll have to see the price on this one, but if you want to buff up your Wych Cult, it could save you some cash.
