New Tyranids, Necrons, & Grey Knights Boarding Patrol Boxes Revealed!

new-boarding-patrols-warhammer-40kThree new Boarding Patrol boxes have been revealed by GW, this time for the Tyranids, Necrons, and Grey Knights- check it out!

This is the second set of boxes we’ve seen so far, and while the Space Marines one sells for $110, we’re not sure if they are all going to go for the same price. These are sort of like small Combat Patrol boxes made specifically to be fielded for the new Boarding Actions. So, expect them all to have a lot of foot sloggers.

From the looks of it, GW may release a decent number of these, but we’ll have to wait and see if every faction gets one. Let’s check out the boxes!

Tyranids, Necrons, & Grey Knights Boarding Patrol Boxes Revealed!

The boxes come from this Warhammer Community Post.

Grey Knights Boarding Patrol Boxes

The Grey Knights, Necrons, and Tyranids have all mustered Boarding Patrol boxes to join the fun, three swift and adaptable forces ready for decisive action in the darkness of space. With the Mustering Rules available as a free download, you can build your box and get boarding right away!

As we said, the only box to come out has been priced at $110, but we can’t be sure they will all be the same price. Still, the boxes this time are pretty interesting contents-wise…

Necrons Boarding Patrol Box

Grey Knights Combat Patrol 2

The backbone of this Boarding Patrol are 10 Necron Warriors, a hard-to-shift line of self-reviving metal skeletons. They advance alongside 10 stalwart Lychguard – you can also build those models as Triarch Praetorians, but they’re not usable in Boarding Actions. Three Ophydian Destroyers add a lightning-fast melee threat to the mix, accompanied by their Canoptek Plasmacyte.

This is actually a fairly decent box because non of the value is used up in special characters, meaning you just get a bunch of minis!

Tyranids Boarding Patrol Box

Grey Knights Boarding Patrol Boxes 3

Two squads of three highly customisable Tyranid Warriors provide an adaptable, formidable core to claim the Ark. Meanwhile, eight fast-moving Genestealers – fielded as a squad of five – act as an insidious vanguard to a towering Broodlord.

This box is alright because if you need Warriors and Genestealers you will probably save some cash with this!

Grey Knights Boarding Patrol Box

Grey Knights Boarding Patrol Boxes 2

The incorruptible Castellan Crowe leads five Grey Knights Terminators – who can also be built as elite Paladins. Backing them up are 10 Grey Knights – these versatile daemon-hunters can be built as teleporting Interceptors, fiery Purifiers, or skilled Strike Squads.

This box has some pretty useful units inside, but the only issue for players is Crowe. If you already have him, this box probably won’t have a ton of value to you, but if you never picked him up, then this is actually a decent box.
