RUMORS “Obviously Fake” Primaris Tyranid Model Spotted

chaos rumors new wal hor warhammer games workshopA fairly fake-looking Primaris Tyranid model has been spotted on the interwebs, but what if it somehow turns out to be a real model…

Obviously, this is quite a big rumor, but it seems like it is a fake. However, there’s always that very small chance it’s true, and hey, looking at ridiculous rumors is part of what makes the hobby fun!

We saw Dante already, the teaser of Tyranids versus Space Marines Terminators, so it would only make sense for GW to release something big for the Nids in the possible starter box. Could the Tyranids really get a Primaris-style update to match the new Marines?

The picture comes from Reddit.

Primaris Tyranid Model

Here’s the model that got everyone thinking about a new style of Tyranid miniature, but there are some pretty big issues. But we’ll talk about those later, as there is a little more to it.

First, this could be something like the Nids have collected enough biomass of Primaris Marines to evolve their own style of Primaris. Nids do need some significant reworks, and many of the models are super old.

So, maybe GW is not revamping the older minis but basically just making new ones.

This isn’t the only thing we’ve seen though…

Auspex Tactics zoomed in on the teaser dropped from GW of the Terminator, looking back at the Tyranids this time. Honestly, though, it resembles the rumored Tyranid mini above. So who knows, maybe someone faked the model based on this image, but it could turn out something like this, just based on this picture alone.

Now, let’s look at where this model most likely comes from.

Primaris Tyranid Model 3

If you ask us, the legs and body look basically identical to a Bonereaper. Someone could have easily kitbashed them with some Tyranids bits, taken a blurry picture, and boom, you have yourself a fake preview!

Either way, there’s always a chance this could be something, but we’ll say this is quite fake until GW actually comes out with anything to support it.

What do you think about this “leak”?
