A Sneaky New GW Preview For 10th Edition Warhammer 40k

gw-previews-new-warhammerWith more Marines and Tyranids on the way for 10th Edition Warhammer 40k, will GW drop a sneaky new preview before the Nova Open?

There are a few possible places GW could drop a new preview (or places they usually don’t do one), and with more promised Marines and Tyranids on the way, it would make sense. The reason is because of the Oghram campaign that will only last 13 days after the launch 10th Edition Warhammer 40k.

Games Workshop said whichever faction wins will get models revealed first for 10th Edition Warhammer 40k.  Before we dive deeper, this is all just conjecture, so don’t get your hopes too high for extra previews regardless of this global campaign for the new edition.

Announced just hours after this article went live, Games Workshop did announce a new preview, but not for anything Warhammer 40k…

The new info comes from Warhammer Community.

GW Confirms Warhammer 40k Oghram Preview 2

The Global Battle for Oghram is officially over! This bustling hive world in the Segmentum Pacificus has been the stage for a pitched battle as the Tyranid Hive Fleet in the face of extreme resistance from a Space Marine counterattack.

The outcome of this terrific clash was up to the community, as everyone who bought Warhammer 40,000: Leviathan could contribute using a unique code found in the box.

The games could only be sent in with the models in the Leviathan box, and at the last time they released numbers, the factions were almost dead even, with a 49/51 split.

As the dust settles, we’re totting up the results, counting every spent shell case, weighing all the biomass, and surveying the lasting damage left by such unprecedented carnage.

The final results will be revealed on Saturday the 15th of July during a special preview for all of the new miniatures from the side who won.

If you’re on the west coast of the US, this will be quite an early preview, but it’s nice to have the miniatures revealed either way! However, this leads us to wonder when the other faction will have their miniatures revealed, but there are some obvious possibilities.

New GW Previews Announced For Horus Heresy, AoS, Old World, & More!

The info on the new preview comes from Warhammer CommunityThey promised minis would get revealed for five games, and again, definitely not 40k.

New GW Previews Horus Heresy

The new edition of a little game called Warhammer 40,000 has just been released, with revamped rules and a massive box filled with new miniatures. It’s all quite exciting! This release has garnered a lot of attention, but believe it or not, there are other Warhammer games out there. It’s now time to lavish some much-needed attention onto these other systems and settings, from the Mortal Realms to the Age of Darkness, with a jam-packed Not Warhammer 40,000 Preview – coming this weekend!

We have an idea of what to expect for some of the games, but for others, we haven’t heard many rumblings as of late.

New GW Previews Horus Heresy 2

Tune in on the 1st of July at 2pm BST to catch all of the action. For the rest of the world, the times are below.

As we said, this is one of the better times for a preview across the world we’ve seen in a while. In contrast, the west coast of the USA will have to get up quite early. For most of the world, however, you can just tune in over the weekend.

A Sneaky New GW Preview For 10th Edition Warhammer 40k Before Nova Open?

New 40k Campaign

Pre-order the Leviathan boxed set this Saturday and among the stacks of miniatures inside you’ll find a special single-use code to join the Battle for Oghram. This is your invitation to fight for the fate of the planet, and earn the victorious faction priority access to exciting new reveals in the next Warhammer 40,000 preview.

Once the campaign begins on the 26th of June, you’ll have 13 days to muster your forces, and log the results of your first game playing the new edition. Your epic victory or crushing defeat will help decide whether the world survives the xenos onslaught or falls to the might of Hive Fleet Leviathan.

So, let’s start with the timeframe of everything. The Nova Open runs from August 30 – September 3, which leaves a big hole in the preview schedule, considering 10th edition released on the 24th of June.

The Oghram campaign runs from June 26th to July 8th, which leaves us an entire month gap between NOVA and the end of the campaign. They said the bonus of winning the campaign would be getting your faction’s models revealed first.

It seems like almost two months is a long time to wait to see the models, but it’s hard to know anything at this point with Games Workshop for sure.

Sneaky GW PreviewSo, what falls in that time frame? Gen Con! It runs from August 3-6, which would be an excellent time to see more models for whatever faction won the campaign. This gives them a week or so to tabulate the results and then get the reveal all set up for a Gen Con preview(click here to see 2021’s Gen Con Preview.)

They always have a big Nova Open preview, and we will probably see all the Marines and Nids left for 10th there, but we could very well see the winning faction at Gen Con. It’s been a few years since Gen Con had a preview, but this year could be the comeback.

Strike Force Agastus

Or perhaps Games Workshop will continue to slow down their release cycle as we have not seen many of the separate releases for Warhammer 40k bundles yet this year and the ones we have seen were severely allocated…

Again, this is all just conjecture at this point, but the timeframes line up pretty well, and it would be a nice little bonus for the winning faction.
