More Tiny Land Raiders Roll Into Legions Imperalis!

The-Horus-Heresy-–-Legions-Imperialis-warhammer-40k-epic-scaleWe’ve seen plenty of tanks for Legions Imperialis, but what is more iconic than a whole army of mini Land Raiders rumbling around?

If you’ve patiently waited for Epic Warhammer 40k to return, it’s being rebranded in the Horus Heresy era as Legions Imperialis. While we’ve seen plenty of the miniatures in the starter box, it’s always nice to see what else will come to the game!

GW announced the game will be pushed back some, but this gives us more time to decide on the game by looking at the models! If you want to see some of the core rules, you can check those out here. Let’s jump into the new miniatures.

Mini Land Raiders Roll Into Legions Imperalis!

The latest on new Land Raiders miniatures for Legions Imperialis come from Warhammer Community.

Land Raiders Legions Imperialis

To get valuable troops across treacherous topography, and without hurling them from orbit, the Legiones Astartes often deployed the Land Raider Proteus – a rolling mass of armour plating and weapons that’s been convinced it’s a tank – and in the massive battles that Legions Imperialis games represent, they’re more important than ever.

There is not much more iconic in Warhammer than a Land Raider rolling across the battlefield! They are great for getting your essential units across the board.

Each box contains six miniature Land Raiders in the Explorator configuration, which means they have a chunky dozer blade at the front to crash through uneven terrain. Though conceived as an exploration vehicle and lacking the front assault ramp of their Spartan and Proteus Carrier compeers, the Explorator is nonetheless a powerful tank with armour-busting lascannon sponsons and can deploy ahead of the main lines thanks to its advanced augury scanners.

Six seems to be the number for all the tanks lately, but that’s still a decent grip of tanks to throw down from one box as we imagine they will be multipart!
