As you can see, as of this writing it was still on sale. Which, for a sold-out release, is a great deal. Generally, they are much more expensive on the market afterward, so it’s nice to get a release for the same price and not from scalpers raising the price. Not only that, this is actually the #1 release right now in gaming top toys, which is pretty cool to see on Amazon! It looks like plenty of people are getting into the Dark Angels!
Deathwing Assault Box Value
The Deathwing Assault Army Box will get you early access to the supplement and minis, but what kind of value does it have?
- Belial $45/£27.50/€35 (based on named characters)
- Deathwing Knights $65/£40/€55 (based on new terminators, but it could easily be $70 or more since it’s a different kit)
- 10 Terminators $130/£80/€110
- Dataslate cards $35/£20/€25 (based on Ad Mech cards)
- One sets of Dark Angel’s upgrades $35/£20/€25 (very similar contents to the Cadian upgrade box; those are $35 each)
- Codex Supplement $60/£35/€45 (since it’s a supplement, it could be less, but this is the first of 10th Edition, so we’re not sure)
Total MSRP: $370 Total value versus $220 box price: $150
This nets you $150 in value, so it’s not too shabby, and it’s a great way to get the codex and minis for cheaper! Regardless, the Dark Angels Deathwing Assault box is available on Amazon for the release price of the original; it’s a great deal if you missed it. You can also find the Deathwing Assault on eBay, but the price tends to vary widely.
