The Primaris Bikers are the first new Astartes Space Marines to have their 40k rules revealed! Here’s what these dudes will be bringing to the table soon.
Warhammer Community unveiled the statline for the Primaris Biker unit seen coming inside 9th Edition’s Indomitus Starter. This is the first statline we’ve gotten out of the new Space Marine units so check out what they’ll be bringing to the table!
New 40k Rules Are Here For Primaris Space Marine Bikers
The Raider-pattern combat bike ridden by Primaris Space Marines is most commonly used to advance ahead of the main lines and to guard the flanks of larger formations. When the battle is joined, they perform lightning fast hit-and-run attacks on enemy strongholds, and are employed to chase down any who would seek to escape the Emperor’s vengeance.
We had seen the sprues as well from the box set reveal, and while they are monopose, they are still very stunning.Already, they’re offering something new to the Primaris line in terms of function. Coming in a squad of three, that’s multiple T5 bodies that can out-move a Jump Pack unit. Other than that, they’ve got the same basic statline.
Although, given that we’ve seen one of the models with the new “Astartes” chainsword, they may have an extra attack or two depending on if every model in the unit can take a melee weapon. The studio seemed to indicate they were more powerful than the basic chainsword we have seen for years.
While their wargear doesn’t scream any high-AP, we will probably just see the unit used as a fast objective grabber. Thanks to their 14″ move plus an advance roll, they’ll be able to cover a surprising amount of ground. But like anything in this game, it may just come down to how many points the squad is.
