Games Workshop just announced a new faction for Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire. Come take a look at the Deathrattle Sepulchral Guard!
Warhammer Community just announced the new Death faction Deathrattle Sepulchral Guard for Shadespire. Let’s see what they had to say about it.
You didn’t really think we were going to set a game in a city damned by the Lord of Undeath without some new Death models did you?
These Sepulchral Guard are the former warriors of the city of Shadespire. Unlike many of the mindless shambling automata of the Mortal Realms’ undead legions, these once-proud warriors retain shards of their memories from before the cursing of their city, and each is a unique individual in their own right.
In the game of Warhammer Underworlds, this warband plays in a unique way. They’ll have numbers on their side against most opponents, but they lack the furious damage output of the Bloodbound, or the resilience of the Stormcast Eternals. Instead, this Deathrattle force favours a player with a considered, strategic approach to battle.
These are our best skeleton miniatures ever – every one of them is as dynamic and detailed as you could hope for, and these are clip-together models, needing no glue at all to assemble!
The new Shadespire game looks like it won’t be disappointing at all, and the new Death models are looking truly impressive. We can’t wait to see what else Games Workshop has in store for future models leading up to the release of the new game later this year.
Let’s take a look at the previous model announced that will be released with the new Shadow Wars Shadespire. Ladies and Gents we give you Lady Stormcast!
Liberatress
Angharad Brightshield caused quite a stir when she was first unveiled at AdeptiCon in March. Brightshield is the first recognisably female Stormcast to be depicted as a Citadel Miniature, but certainly not the only one in Sigmar’s hosts – The Stormcast Eternals are, after all, drawn from heroes across the Mortal Realms. In her past life, before the Age of Chaos, she was a smith, a forger of artefacts of great craftsmanship. In her new role, reforged as a sigmarite-clad warrior of of the God-King, she still wields a hammer – but now as part of the iconic hammer and shield equipment of a Liberator.
Also in case you missed it, there was also a preview of the game play from Adepticon 2017. GW had their preview event at Adepticon, afterwards they let everyone preview the new game Warhammer Underworlds: Shadesprie. Check out the pictures from the latest preview.
The board is resembling the Gorechosen stand alone game with the hexagon style spaces. But the rules, dice, and unit cards are not like anything we’ve seen before. It will be Warhammer Quest and Age of Sigmar compatible. But you will not be able to bring Age of Sigmar or 40k models into the Mirror Realm. Each model will carry the hero title.
