Age of Sigmar Releases Post

Games Workshop has released Vandus Hammerhand and Korghos Kul individually alongside the new Thunder and Blood Starter Box. Let’s take a look!

Two new kits for for AoS are here; Vandus Hammerhand and Korghos Kul with a Bloodsecrator. Now, these aren’t exactly new models, having been released with the first Age of Sigmar Starter Box. They have just been re-released separately for the release of the Thunder and Blood Starter Box.

Now, Korghos Kul and the Bloodsecrator are back on one sprue in straight sliced 3D design for the new model character set. The Bloodsecrator does have new rules that appear in the recently released Blades of Khorne Battletome. These bits come with great detail and would look at home on a Khorne space marine army as well.

Korghos Kul and Bloodsecrator

The Vandus Hammerhand kit comes with Vandus and his dragon mount (a.k.a Dragon Cat) on one sprue made in the same straight sliced 3D design like Korghos Kul. The ability Storm Breath is a powerful one for this unit and will do extensive damage by inflicting D3 mortal wounds. Intolerable Damage and Lord of Hammerhands are amazing abilities and make Vandus a powerful asset to have.

Vandus Hammerhand

Vandus Hammerhand: $40

Vandus Hammerhand

Vandus Hammerhand is a sworn enemy of the Dark Gods. As Lord-Celestant of the hammers of Sigmar his warriors fight as one, energised by his purpose and might. Vandus was the first to tame a celestial Dracoth, and the first to harness the beast’s ability to breathe bolts of magical force. Respected by all, and trusted implicitly by Sigmar himself, he is haunted constantly by visions of his mortal tribe’s death – these visions spur him to astonishing acts of vengeance against Chaos in the Mortal Realms.

This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble Vandus Hammerhand, iconic Lord-Celestant and stoic leader of many Stormcast Eternals victories, mounted on a powerful Dracoth. He wields a Tempestos Hammer in one hand and clutches the reins of this Dracoth in the other, with a sculpted banner of Sigmar streaming above his magnificent headgear. His dense armour is covered in hammer and lightning symbols – the lithe, furious form of the Dracoth is likewise encased in similar plate. This model makes a great Lord-Celestant for any Stormhost!

Vandus Hammerhand comes as 9 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 90x52mm Oval base.

Korghos Khul & Bloodsecrator: $40

KorghosKhulBloodsecrator

Korghos Khul commands no mere army, but a legion of bloodthirsty murderers. United under his banner, the Goretide have slaughtered indiscriminately – helped in no small measure by the presence of Bloodsecrators, who drag their master’s icon to every corner of the Mortal Realms, there to rip open the fabric of reality and allow the red-hot wrath of Khorne himself to send the followers of the Blood God into apoplectic battle-rage.

This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble Korghos Khul, terrifying Chaos lord of the Bloodbound and a Bloodsecrator, icon bearer and conduit of the fury of Khorne. Korghos Khul is accompanied by his faithful yet terrifying Flesh Hound of Khorne, straining at the end of a pair of chains; he himself is an impressively detailed miniature, bedecked in brutal armour with symbols and signs of Khorne all over. He clutches an Axe of Khorne.

The Bloodsecrator model is dominated by the enormous icon he carries along with his four-bladed Ensorcelled Axe – his armour is also covered in Khornate symbols, but he appears to have more of a taste for skulls, being covered as he is in the glorious bounty of Khorne; at least 10 skulls adorn him. His exposed head contains a wealth of detail – look closely, and you’ll see that his ponytail isn’t quite what it seems… The model can be used as any warlord of Khorne – he’s the ultimate example of a bloodthirsty Khornate disciple.

The 2 miniatures are supplied as 18 components, and come with 1 Citadel 60mm Round base and a Citadel 32mm Round base.
