Empires of Men is officially live now and features $20 tanks and $12 troop boxes. Has the most affordable minis Kickstarter arrived?
The producers of the horde survival board game Vanguard of War and the skirmish board game League of Ancient Defenders, has launched their latest Kickstarter Empire of men.
This Kickstarter features their latest project: the miniatures collection entitled Empire of Men, which has the simple of goal of $5k to reach. Empire of Men will feature 28mm, heroic-scale, resin multi-part miniatures. Also included are 2 resin tank models and a pack of 3 Velocity Pods. More on those in a moment.
Heavy boots, thick leather coats and gas masks worn by everyone – that’s The Great Empire in the nutshell. What they are lacking in physicality, they will compensate in calibers and amount of shots per minute. As World War One rages on mostly on their lands, toxic warfare resulted in whole zones being inhabited by mutated people, who eventually serve as Ubermans. Nothing is wasted in Military Industrial Complex of Great Empire.
The Great Empire has access to the Stormtrooper, Marksman, and Uberman. The troopers and marksman come in squads of 5 per kit and are on 25mm bases all for a low low pledge of $12 a box.
The Uberman come in a squad of 3 per kit and are on 40mm bases, and run for a pledge of $25.
Now, one of the best parts of this Kickstarter will be the The Great Empire heavy armor models priced at $20 and $30 respectively
The Wolverine is a troop transport with heavy gun. It’s price? $20 to add on. The Little Eagle Mk.III is a tank of the line and will look great as a stand in for a Leman Russ for only $30 to add on. Stretch goals include a heavy weapon team featuring a mobile turret with an operator if $6k is reached and an Empire Commissar on a 28mm base if $7k is reached.
Inhuman sleekness, terrifying effectiveness and cold calculation are Echelon Dominion‘s traits. After mandatory “Echelon Civilian Enhancement” government programs, can no longer considered as “human”. This is not a decision taken solely by The Great Empire, but also by the Echelon, who see human equating to weakness. Where other forces deploy heavy infantry, The Echelon deploy Constructs. Where other forces face fear and suffering, they welcome challenge and seek to prove themselves. Their purpose is unknown as they don’t fight solely for the purpose of land, honor or survival but whatever their plan is it will end current era for mankind for sure.
The Echelon Dominion has access to the Skirmishers, Thraumaturges, and Constructs. Skirmishers come in a squad of 5 on 25mm bases. Thraumaturges come in a squad of 3 on 25mm bases. Lastly, the Constructs come in squads of 3 on 40mm bases. Their kit also comes with a close combat version included. Then there are the Velocity Pods. These come in a 3 pack on 40mm bases. Strech goals for the Echelon include the Echelon Commander, a two miniature kit with a horned commander and her horned-tiger companion at $6k. The other is a Dark Seer that comes on a 60mm base when $7k is reached.
The Empire of Men Kickstarter will run for a month and end on (insert date). They have a modest goal of $5K to reach. They already have 2 tiers of stretch goals planned. No word yet if other stretch goals will be added if the current ones are met.
