Reset the clock, the Sisters of Battle have gone missing from the Warhammer World display cases again. Today it has the internet asking: “What does it mean?” all over again.
One reader on Faeit sent in pictures showing that the Sisters of Battle were missing again from the display cases at Warhammer World. Here’s the latest
I went to WHW last week and literally the only models missing from their plinths in the Exhibition Hall were Celestine and the Exorcist tank – there weren’t any Sisters of Battle that I could find anywhere.
Make of that what you will!
Now traditionally when models, or armies, go missing from the display case it usually just means they’re going to be featured in an upcoming White Dwarf, new codex, or supplement.
But what does it mean this time?
Unclear right now, but we do know the codex is coming by the end of the year because Games Workshop stated at the Las Vegas Open that all eleven of the remaining codices “will be done the year”.
EDITOR’S NOTE: that could also mean that they will be finished but not all releases by the end of the year, depending on how you interpret that statement.
This isn’t the first time the Adeptus Sororitas have gone missing from their spot in the display cases at Warhammer World. The last time this happened everyone started saying new Sisters were on the way too, but instead, we just got the release of the Rising Storm books and a new Celestine model seven months later.
So, even though we didn’t get new Sisters per se the last time they went missing, we did get new Saint, and more for the game overall. Could Saint Celestine and the Exorcist be off for their codex photoshoot? We don’t know for sure, but you can be sure we’re going to be keeping our eyes peeled looking for anything that might tell us something.
What do you think? Are the Adeptus Sororitas getting a codex sooner than expected? Or is it going to be another false hope? No matter what, make sure you’re checking back in with us for the latest updates, we’ll be putting them out as soon as we get them.
