Warhammer Hobbyists not in England don’t seem to be too happy about Forge World’s new pricing system, and they are not being quiet about it!

Forge World’s Facebook page has been blowing up since they rolled out their new “local currency pricing”, which raised prices in the US about a 20% across the board overnight on models that are exactly the same.

Forge World said that because of the changes; “it’s now easier and faster to get your models”, but some hobbyists saw it as something… a little different. The Internet has not given them a break since then.

The Community Strikes Back

If you checked the Forge World website yesterday morning, you might come to find that everything had an incredible price jump depending on your location.

You can take a look at our pricing article from yesterday for some apples to apples comparisons from the Forge World Website for the new USD pricing.

The Forge World team has been reportedly censoring the comments across all social media platforms since their announcement. That didn’t stop the best of them from making the rounds since they were posted, however.

Forge World is getting backlash from the hobbyists that actually had their models shown off. They don’t want anything to do with what’s happening recently.

And then the memes…

For whatever reason, Forge World thought it was a good idea to follow up with another price jump right after a Skirmish game that the community-at-large already thought was too expensive.

Twitter users have also decided to join in.

So there it is, the Warhammer community is in an uproar and all that “good will” that Games Workshop has garnered over the last year may be going up in smoke as we speak.
