Adeptus Titanicus is getting even more support over the horizon. Doom of Molech is set to have all the goodies for players to dig into with their models.
Warhammer Community previewed a few pages from Forge World’s upcoming Doom of Molech book. This book is set during the Horus Heresy as you’d expect, and it’s going to be full of fluffy age-old wars that were waged by Titans.
What is the Doom of Molech?
Doom of Molech focuses on the battle for the Knight World of Molech during the Horus Heresy. A key conflict, this saw the entirety of House Devine betray their oaths and turn to the Warmaster’s side, leading to a massacre of Loyalist forces on the embattled world. It was also the site of some of the most vicious Titan and Knight fighting in the entire Heresy.
This book is coming with six new narrative missions, a new Matched play scenario that pit your Titans against massive beasts native to Molech, as well as new stratagems and battlefield conditions. We had already seen a quick preview from the Heresy Weekender as well:
The Doom of Molech campaign book allows you to fight these battles for yourself, with lore and campaigns that bring the conflicts explored in Black Library’s Vengeful Spirit to life in sumptuous detail. Meanwhile, rules for a variety of Titan Legions offer you even more tactical choice. There’s even the option to field an entire army of nothing but Knights for maximum gallantry – particularly fitting, as Molech was where the most infamous of Traitor Knight Houses, Devine, would reveal the depths of their perfidy and turn upon their allies.
The Doom of Molech is one of the biggest turn of events Titans ever saw during the Heresy. Set in a time when Knight Households started to join Horus’s Rebellion, you’ll be able to re-visit pivotal events in the story and stomp out the Traitors.
If you love Knights, don’t miss the new Maniple rules that allow them to take hits for larger titans that were in February’s White Dwarf!
Knights Get the Spotlight With New Rules, Qualities & More
Looking at Knights, you’ll be able to field entire armies focused solely on the Knight class. They’ll be a viable option in Open, Narrative, or even Matched play! So what kind of support are Knights getting exactly?
You’ll be able to:
- Issue new orders to Knight Banners.
- Activate multiple Banners at once.
- Use expanded rules for shooting Knights.
- Freeblades and other Knightly qualities will be added to your Household leaders.
- Use exclusive Household stratagems on your Knights.
Household-themed missions are also going to be a part of the Doom of Molech book. Valiant Defiance is just one of the missions showing the victory points/secondary objective you’ll need to use your Knights to obtain!
To give your Knights more identity on the battlefield, seven sets of Household rules provide unique Knightly Qualities for the Houses of Molech. These can be used to further personalise the commanders of your Knight Household armies, each providing new tactical options and different ways to play with your Knights.
Similar to Warlord Traits, you’ll be able to give your Banners Knightly Qualities. These just add a bit more character and uniqueness to your force as you stomp out the enemies on Molech.
Don’t forget, stratagem cards for your Knights are also on the way. You’ll be able to have all the stratagems you want to use laid out before you to make your games go quicker! Currently, there are no stratagems for Knights, so we assume they will be forthcoming in the new expansion book.
Titans Also Getting Support
If you’re still a fan of the big bad Titans, don’t worry. Four new Legions are coming as Crucius, Fortidus, Vulcanum, and Interfector. On top of that, new maniples are going to be coming out for you too. We don’t have any details on what they’ll be able to offer on the table just yet so keep your eyes peeled!
