More and more rumors have been emerging around the Space Marines lately. The latest is talking about Astartes vehicles! Take a look with us.
We’ve been hearing rumors about Primaris and White Scars recently. But looking at the latest rumors, it looks like we might be getting more rules for our vehicles.
But before we jump in, if you missed the big rumor about White Scars being next in line for a Space Marine codex, look no further.
White Scars Chapter Next in Line for Codex
According to an industry insider that gave us the info for our previous posts, the White Scars are the next Chapter to get a Codex. Some of you might have heard that it was the Imperial Fists, but there’s been no such mention of their name (sorry).
- White Scars To Get Chapter Book
- Arrival Late Summer Early Fall
- Combined Release With New Primaris Models
While Imperial Fists is a good guess (they’ve been popping up in Battleforce Box Sets/artwork for Kill Team), the White Scars are looking to be making their full debut. We don’t know any details when the Codex will drop exactly and we all have to keep in mind that these are all STILL RUMORS.
However, if there was going to be a faction to make full use out of skimmers and fast Primaris grav-vehicles, it would definitely be the White Scars, so things kind of make sense.
Latest Rumors: Space Marines Could Be Getting Chapter Tactics to Vehicles
Via Ishagu from Bolter & Chainsword:
Looks like Astartes vehicles will be getting chapter tactics. Little hints here and there from people in the know.
Very happy about this. I wonder if this will be in the new codex or the next Chapter Approved.
Assuming rumors are true, We could see -2 to hit Raven Guard Stormravens
Ishagu has been responsible for bringing a few rumors up to the community in the past. However, that doesn’t mean we can instantly count his words as definitive. It definitely makes sense for Space Marines to FINALLY get their Chapter Tactics tacked onto their vehicles. They’re the only faction in the 40k universe that’s still limited to Infantry, Bikers, and Dreadnoughts. We initially thought GW might fix it in Chapter Approved 2018, but they left Space Marines high and dry. (Yeah, the point change helped but Space Marines are still nowhere near where they should be).
Ultramarine Razorbacks/Leviathans would be able to fall back from combat and unload…NICE!
While the latest rumor is short and is coming from an unconfirmed source, our wishful thinking is rooting for GW to bring Chapter Tactics to everything in the Space Marine arsenal. What kind of combos do you think would be the most competitive assuming these rumors are true? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
